Positive: I had a lovely spacious room, powerful hot shower, beautiful outside area to sit and wonderful views. Moc was so incredibly welcoming, she really took care of me, picking me up from the bus station and organising tours. I highly recommend asking Moc to arrange a trek with Hang Dinh and a trip to any of the markets with Ly Seo San, on his motorbike- they were both lovely.

Positive: Quiet location, nice views, spacious rooms with good heating. Friendly helpful host. Free filtered water. Tasty filling breakfasts with a range of choices.

Negative: We knew it was out of town but the current extensive building excavations in the area made the walk to town a bit harder.

Positive: Beautiful rural location with lovely views. 30 minute walk to the centre of town and Sunday market. Very kind and smiling host with whom we communicated using google translate. She was very responsive via WhatsApp at any time. Big tasty breakfast served on the verandah overlooking the fields and mountains. Piping hot shower. Excellent value for money.

Negative: As a suggestion, I would have loved a tea bag or two in the room (there was a kettle provided). Bed was quite firm but after a long day of walking we were tired enough to sleep well anyway.

Positive: The staff were just amazing. Came into the town and picked us up from the bus. Our first time sat in the back of mopeds with our rucksacks on! We ate at the house on all three evenings and the food was delicious and so so cheap. The view was tranquil and very beautiful.

Negative: The fact that after three nights we had to leave 😢
