machiya townhouse in Higashi Chaya District into a private residence reserved entirely for your stay.

※Tea kettle : As this is a work from the 1960s, you may notice natural aging or small spots of oxidation inside. We have confirmed it is safe for use.
※Laundry : No washing machine. Please use a nearby coin laundry.
※Parking : No on-site parking. Please use nearby coin-operated parking.
※Shoes : Outdoor shoes are not permitted on the wooden floor. Slippers are provided.
※Damage, heavy soiling, smoking: In case of significant soiling, damage, loss, or any signs of smoking, we may charge the actual cost of special cleaning, repair, or replacement. We kindly ask that you do not take any amenities or items from the property and treat them with care.

Aesop (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap), toothbrush, razor, comb, slippers, yukata (loungewear), matcha, and Kaga bōcha (roasted tea).
【About the Machiya House】
□Room temperature
As this is a traditional machiya, the indoor temperature may drop more easily in winter. We appreciate your understanding, and hope you enjoy it as part of the experience of staying in a 100-year-old home. For a comfortable night in winter, we recommend keeping the first-floor living room air conditioner (heating) on while you sleep.
□Steps
There are steep stairs and steps. Please watch your footing.

□Quiet hours
As there are residences nearby, please keep noise to a minimum, especially at night and early in the morning. Parties and playing instruments are not permitted.
□Smoking
Smoking is not permitted (including cigarettes, heated tobacco, and e-cigarettes). This applies both indoors and also outside around the property, including the street in front.
