The apartment is on the top (second) floor of a two unit building dating back to the 1400's. It is light and airy and features quintessential florentine exposed beams and traditional terra cotta floors. It is 95 sq. m. / 1020 sq. ft.
On the main level, in the front, overlooking the quiet via di Camaldoli, there is a double reception/dining room with a newly refurbished open plan kitchen with top end appliances including dishwasher, stove, oven, refrigerator and washing machine. From the sitting room, a staircase leads to a mezzanine with skylight, arranged as a second sitting area with a sofa bed (sleeps 2).
In the back, a large master bedroom with a king size bed (sleeps 2) and a second room with a full size bed (sleeps 2) overlook the quiet gardens of the monastery of San Salvatore a Camaldoli, dating back to the XII century and the quaint rooftops of the nearby houses of the Oltrarno district.

Summary: The apartment is modern with an old world feel. Located on a quiet street with great shops and restaurants near by. You could easily walk from the apt to see all the major sites.

Summary: Great location away from the tourists but only a 15 minute walk to the sites. There is a wonderful bakery (Wild Buns), butcher, cafe, and many restaurants nearby. The apartment was so clean, stocked, and felt like home. The manager was super friendly and accommodating. And the cleaning staff did a fantastic job. I own a STR and have high standards and this met them all!

Summary: This apartment filled our desire to be out of the heavy tourist areas of Florence, yet be very accessible to anywhere we needed to go. The relatively quiet neighborhood is our favorite. The spacious apartment had plenty of linens and a well stocked kitchen. Vanni met our arrival and was helpful and very easy to work with.

Summary: Great location, quiet at night but close walking distance to restaurants and bars. Also very reasonable walking distance from the major attractions. The in room air conditioning units were a lifesaver as it was HOT during our time here. Only issue was the A/C unit in the main living room was not working- this did not affect us too much. We spent most of our time out and about and then would reprieve to our cool bedrooms when back at the apartment. Vanni was very kind and easy to work with. He graciously carried my bag up the stairs upon our arrival without me asking.

Summary: Lovely place, top floor. Convenient with a grocery story around the corner and good restaurants nearby. We prefer to stay outside of touristy area. If you like that, then this is the place for you.

Summary: Loved this apartment! Stayed for a month...convenient location, comfortable, well stocked with everything you would need and plenty of room. Very nice neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants, the grocery store is just around the corner. The apartment is modern yet has old charm to it. Vanni the host was available when needed and helped with ideas about Florence. Would stay here again.
