Positive: The Mill Hotel was well-appointed, clean, comfortable, and very conveniently located on the historic site. We appreciated that it was an historic building. The view from our room over the river was beautiful. Our room was very quiet. Dinner and breakfast were both good. Parking was directly in front of the hotel.

Negative: Bubble pool in spa is pointless. Needs heating or proper jets. Sauna room only warm.

Positive: A beautiful setting. Rooms are pleasant. We were disappointed to be given a room with a sofa bed for the second occupant, rather than a twin room.The breakfast was disappointing, not to the standard you would expect. I had a much better breakfast at a Premier Inn last week. Our room keys had to be reset several times, which was inconvenient. Reception suggested the problems were caused by the end of the month, on another occasion we were told we had left our key next to our phone. We clearly weren’t the only visitors with this problem.
Negative: A bit tired probably due to cost cutting in the current difficult economic time.
Summary: A beautiful place to stay, with stunning walks and a very interesting museum on site.
