Positive: This hotel has only been opened for a few months and the location of the Narayana hotel is close to the harbour which only takes 5min. The staff were lovely & helpful. The food was also nice & the chef was very happy to please. It has a large nice pool.

Negative: As I said before this hotel is new - however there are a few things that need improving. The place is too barren - please plant some grass where the river stones are & plant more trees for shade. I don't understand the concept of the hotel with its domed roofs & building materials (lots of wasted space in the rooms) plus the rooms had a lot of furniture that wasn't up to standard - why put 1 chair at the small table and have a sofa built for children ? Lastly, there is Ben's Bar about 100m away from the hotel down by the water where you can watch the sun sets - nice concept as the Bar is on a boat & is owned by the same owner as the hotel. However, the staff were lazy & what they had to offer to drink was pathetic. Their menu had all this cocktails & drinks but at the end they only had beer, strawberry juice & soft drinks to offer.

Positive: The Narayana Hotel and the staff were absolutely fantastic. I can't thank them enough for making mine and my family's stay such a pleasure. We were there for 10 days. The rooms were cleaned and continually cleaned as and when we wanted them. The restaurant was a lovely place to sit and eat. The food fresh, tasty and well presented. The staff were welcoming faces everyday and helped me by organising our daily outings, doing more than I expected them to do without me asking. The hotel is in a great location with Ben's boat bar alongside to have a drink and watch the sun go down. We will be returning next year.

Positive: Had a really enjoyable stay – all the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food and facilities were both very good, and we especially appreciated the popular bar conveniently located at the back of the hotel. When our return ferry was unexpectedly cancelled, the hotel was extremely accommodating, offering us a room at a discounted rate. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Positive: The hotel is brand new. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. There is a large pool that was wonderful for swimming and relaxing. The food at the restaurant was excellent. We plan to visit Karimunjawa again. We will definitely be staying at Narayana.

Negative: We loved everything!

Positive: New resort on the main island just out of the town and next to Ben’s jetty. Large modern luxurious rooms with all the 5 star amenities. The best fresh water pool in Karimun- truly international resort style 5 star restaurant with Asian, European and some chinese food. Beautiful dinner under the stars next to the lit up pool Absolutely quiet at night- no mosque nearby and the best is going for a 6am walk out on the jetty and catamaran. Narayana means A place to rest and it truly is They offer motorcycle and car rental, island snorkeling trips on their own fleet of boats, help with obtaining Express ship tickets, water sports and much more Check out their website
