Positive: Beautiful property with lovely character and charm. Very peaceful area very near to the river. Host was brilliant and cooked amazing food and helped book our activities. Use of the bikes was very handy to explore the local area. Will come back here when we visit Munroe Island again!!

Positive: This brand new home stay had modern facilities, great a/c breakfast to order and our host organized dinner for us both nights we were there all at an incredibly reasonable price. Anusurlee suggested and booked great activities and went out of her way to make my son and i welcome. Incredibly personal experience with only two perfectly outfitted rooms. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a low key backwaters experience -- taking the guided canoe through the canals and waterways was a highlight! Plenty of seafood and water experiences, great yoga and ayurveda massage just a walk away. Wish them all the success!!!

Positive: We had a lovely stay with Anusree and her mother in law. They went out of their way to organise a very special couple of days. We were treated to a very magical journey through the canals, with beautiful stops for snacks and drinks, whilst watching the sunset. We had a delicious supper and breakfast cooked by our hosts. They accommodated our stay with any available travel as we relaxed into Munroe Island. Exploring on the bicycles provided was a real highlight. The homestay was beautiful and we were enlightened to the history and future of the area. We will be back! Thank you, Annie and Raphael

She shared so much about her life and culture, allowing us to truly understand India and immerse ourselves in the local way of living. The place is peaceful and surrounded by nature, creating a real sense of calm and well-being. Breakfasts and dinners are delicious, always different and unique. They also provide bicycles, which are perfect for exploring the island, and the host is super helpful in arranging rides or drivers for the next destinations. Positive: Anusree is a great host. The place is lovely. There are two rooms so we met the other guests. They were really nice, we had a great time there. The place is a cosy nest. We borrowed bikes from Anusree so we could discover the island. Anusree also arranged for us the boat trip, which was very very nice. Her family is really nice also. We highly recommend!

Positive: Absolutely amazing stay! The homestay looks super nice and is located in a lush garden, the room was comfortable and modern with hot water bathroom, the location is very central to visit Munroe islands. Anu, her stepmother and her daughter were lovely, super helpful and so welcoming, they did everything so that we feel at ease. We ate twice breakfast and dinner there, everything is homemade, many fruits come from the garden, the fish is fresh and local, it was absolutely delicious! Thank you so much for having had us, we really felt cared for, it definitely was a highlight in our trip :)

Anusree and her family are exceptional hosts in every way—their warmth, care, and hospitality made us feel completely at home. The homestay is beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean, and filled with a peaceful charm. The food prepared by Amma is absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavours and made with so much love. It easily makes Plackal Heritage one of the best places we have stayed during our travels. The sunrise canoe trip arranged by the hosts was another highlight—calm, scenic, and unforgettable. They also help organise kayaking and other local activities, which made our stay truly memorable. Positive: Anusree took incredible care of me from the moment of booking. She made me feel so at home and one of the family. The property is beautiful, immaculately clean and looks brand new. The bed and AC were perfect and the bathroom and shower was perfect. Anusree's mother in law makes the most delicious keralan breakfast and dinners and will serve you fresh papaya and bananas from the garden. I ate and slept so well for my whole stay. The family also lend you their bikes to see the whole island and can help arrange kayaking and boat rides for the best local price. Thank you for a wonderful experience of Munroe - I can't wait to come back and stay with you again soon! :)
