Positive: Staff was very friendly. Location was very quiet after 8 pm but we enjoyed the common area, where we played shuffle board and other games.
Negative: Everything was great. I appreciated the detailed instructions on water usage given the shortage. Rules to be followed even beyond our stay.

Positive: The location is beautiful even though restaurants and shopping are in short supply and often closed. The Lodge is lovely and very comfortable
Negative: The reason I rate staff poorly is in the middle of the day (2:00 to 3:00 p.m.) they insisted on having 2 area rugs at each end of the patio shampooed by staff. It was extremely loud, ruined the whole vibe of sitting outdoors and we had to shout to hear each other at our table of 4. Whenever she stopped the machine people would clap but that didn't give them the hint. They are at a stage 3 water shortage and asked us not to flush toilets or take more than 5-min showers, yet I witnessed the woman walk away with dirty containers from the shampoo machine and return with clean water at least 3 times just on the one rug facing me. It seemed ridiculous and rude towards customers dining at the time.
Summary: Beautiful lodge and loved the surroundings. Really enjoyed the cooler temps.

Negative: We stayed in late April. The facility is lovely…however, within walking distance, there this: a General Store across the street, and within a stones throw there is a Cookie Bakery and one tiny stand-alone trinket shop. You can traverse the “Village” and browse in both directions within 30 minutes. This area caters to travelers who are wanting to spend time out on the hiking trails during the months without snow, and to travelers who come up for the winter activities when there is snow. If you are an “in between” traveler…hopefully you enjoy playing cards, or being entertained by a good book.
Summary: We stayed for just one night in April and that was sufficient time in this area at this time of year.
