Positive: Nice large room with double bed & double sofa bed - as described. En suite bathroom, and shower room immediately adjacent. Quiet location, easy walk to village centre with pub, tea-room & a pottery. Gents playing quoits on village green opposite pub on Weds evening. Lovely stone buildings in every direction. Very close to Vindolanda, Hadrians Wall etc. Our host Sue was welcoming and helpful - just ask !
Negative: No kichen facilities yet, beyond tea/coffee in room, but Sue provided cereal bowls and milk upon request, so after a visit to the Spar we were not fully reliant on eating-out. NB Village pub stops serving food at 7:30 pm and was all but fully booked at 6:30 pm (high season) - they advised its best to book ahead by mid-afternoon, anywhere in the area.
Summary: Gave us a great first taste of a stay in Northumberland. Makes us want to come back !

Positive: An enormous room in a beautiful small village with a shop and pub. The owner Sue was very genial and helpful.
Negative: A shower in the en-suite as well as the bath would have nice.
