Positive: Upon arrival we were met by the owner and her delightful family, a really nice welcome. The accomodation was clean and very comfy. All mod cons available, scenery was beautiful. This property offered a very central position to access both walking routes (wild swimming area) and local attractions. The location was also very peaceful with a beatiful garden for outdoor meals, including a BBQ.

Positive: What a special place, a lovely old cottage with so much character. It takes you back in time! Very peaceful, comfortable, and clean. Logan was extremely friendly and helpful; we had a wonderful stay!

Positive: The Mill Cottage is a very comfortable stand-alone cottage with three bedrooms and a very well-equipped kitchen. There is an Aga in the kitchen which we enjoyed using. It was easy to clean and refuel and the host were very helpful as well as being very kind people. There is safe parking on site and a washing machine in a laundry room. The washing could dry in the kitchen over the Aga. It was very easy to self-cater, and the shops were close to buy provisions.
Negative: There was nothing that we did not like and we highly recommend it.
Summary: We highly recommend it for people who want a more remote place to stay in the Lake District.

Positive: Such a beautiful property, it was the perfect base for us for the weekend. Lots of room, clean, cosy, kitchen well stocked and learned to use an aga! Jeanie and Logan were excellent hosts.
Negative: The temperature in the shower was a bit mixed but everything else was perfect. Would highly recommend.

Positive: Beautiful cottage in idyllic and quiet location. The host family were very welcoming and friendly. We loved the separate gorgeous garden for eating outside together. The beds were really comfortable and the property was clean and had everything we needed for our two night stay. We would definitely recommend to friends and stay here again .

Positive: Beautiful cottage in lovely quiet location. Very cosy. Set in a little hamlet on the river, the cottage was peaceful and the kids loved playing in the little stream outside the cottage and the river at the back (a little walk down the road to get into the river). The cottage was lovely and clean, a well stocked kitchen to be able to cook a family meal. Being able to cook on an Aga was a new experience, and having an open fire kept us cosy in the evenings.
Negative: Nothing! It was great! You do need to drive everywhere as no shop or pub in the little village.
Summary: Beautiful cottage, perfect for a family holiday in the Lakes.
