Summary: Barnhaven is a spacious and comfortable cottage in a really lovely setting. We enjoyed two tranquil weeks there. Great walks from the door but also not far by car from different landscapes and activities. If you can tear yourself away from the gorgeous garden, it's a short drive to Levens Village Shop and their traybakes. Jill was responsive to our queries and the written info in the cottage was comprehensive and helpful. We'd certainly stay here again.

Summary: Barnhaven was our last stop on a trip across the north of England with two old friends. What a pleasant end to our journey! The home is beautiful, very spacious and comfortable, with a lovely back garden. It lacked nothing. We made ourselves complete dinners, conversed in the dining and living rooms, finally caught up the laundry!, and slept well. Brigsteer itself is in a beautiful area, very quiet, and not far to some Lake District hikes. Our host Jill provided excellent information to help us arrive and gain entry. We were a little sad to have to leave!
