Positive: Richard and Dawn were great hosts. The property was away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Edinburgh in a lovely countryside location but still very accessible to the city Very well appointed and decorated cottage and felt like a home away from home The nice touches from the hosts of some breakfast items and snacks

Negative: Perhaps the single beds but that wasn't a big deal

Positive: So cosy in a beautiful area. Very quiet with plenty of space. Saw hares and muncjacks. Lovely area for long walks.

Negative: Nothing. For some people it might be too far from the city centre. Half hour bus ride and then a 15 minute walk.

Summary: Cosy, quiet with all mod cons. Great to get away from city centre but it’s not too far.

Positive: Lovely cottage. Great host. Made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Helped us get ibto town. Beds werecomfortable and shower was warm. Loved the extra touches and little treats. Good selection of books and dvds for all ages.

Negative: The walk up the hill and a little further from town than we anticipated, though we did want to be out of the city. Good transport options available.

Summary: Comfortable Farm cottage within 35 minutes from Edinburgh.

Positive: The house was situated in a beautiful spot with an amazing view, The owners were so friendly and welcoming. They thought of everything from bread and milk to a lift up the hill.

Positive: Out in the countryside, walks from the doorstep, very quiet and relaxed, yet views of Edinburgh in the distance, park and ride a short drive away, to get into Edinburgh. Pub, shop and petrol close as well. The owners were very friendly, helpful and informative, left us bread, butter, milk cereal etc. Dog friendly as well. We would stay again if visiting Edinburgh.

Negative: Nothing.
