Positive: Location was lovely. About 1½ miles outside Balerno, the nearest town, which meant it was quiet & definitely in the countryside. The Hayloft was very clean, well decorated. Susan was always contactable when we needed to, which was reassuring. I'd seen reports of the shower being low pressure but that wasn't my experience. I'd also seen that the property ran out of hot water for the bath, but this was remedied with a couple of kettles boiled & topped up with warm water, or a wait for 15 mins for the water to reheat. Either way it was no problem. I'd recommend the Balerno Inn for Sunday dinner. Exceptional.

Negative: Anything negative would be picking at straws. A few flies....but it is near a farm in the countryside, so nothing unexpected.

Summary: A great place to stay. Loved it.

Positive: Lovely space, lovely location, Susan was very welcoming/helpful.

Negative: Needed more hot water capacity to fill bath. Please note 2 x disabled travellers who use baths for pain relief so might not affect other users as much.
