Positive: I so enjoyed my stay at Mi Ca-Sa En Merida. The apartment was simply furnished and clean, a priority for me. I was there three weeks and it was completely cleaned once a week. There was always hot water, the bed was comfortable and there were nice sheets.The location is excellent, and the language school La Casita is right around the corner. Nelson was an exceptional host. As a solo traveler, I felt comfortable and safe as Nelson was at the lodging regularly. He went above and beyond in making sure everything was okay, helping with transportation logistics, had a list of sites to see and recommended restaurants. I would definitely stay there again.

Negative: If you’re looking for a high end apartment, this would not be for you. It’s more for people who want to stay in a great neighborhood and in a nicely renovated apartment.

Positive: Nelson is a super host, very knowledgeable, he gave great recommendations about restaurants and information about sightseeing. The location of the property, it is quiet, beautiful courtyard, big bedrooms, street parking.

Positive: The large private balcony in the 2 bed apartment was a good place to relax, despite the traffic outside being noisy at times. The Kitchen was small but well equipped, the wifi very good. Overall a great place to stay. The host, Nelson, was extremely helpful, providing much useful information. It was close to the centre of things in Merida.

Negative: Traffic noisy in the street outside , at times in the evening and morning, but ok at night. Some people might be troubled by this, but it wasn’t serious enough to spoil things for us.

Positive: Mi Ca-sa en Merida is well-situated: close to bars, restaurants, museums, parks, laundry (there are 3 within 5 minutes walk) and a large WalMart. It's also steps from Paseo de Montejo, Merida's Champs Elysee. The apartment is clean, comfortable (fan in the living room, AC in the bedroom) and very well-equipped: there's a spice rack with at least 10 different UNOPENED spices in the kitchen, pots and pans, a microwave, toaster oven, convection stovetop, coffee maker, water dispenser, etc. The host, Nelson, is extremely accommodating. He comes every day (he doesn't live at the property) so you can always talk to him or chat with him on whatsapp when he's not around - he's always ready to help with information on Merida and surrounding areas, including ways to get there. Highly recommended especially for longer-term stays in beautiful Merida!
