Summary: A really wonderful location just a few minutes from the heart of Bolzano. The house was incredible and our only regret is that we didn’t get to enjoy it in the summer! We’ll be back! Highly recommend

Summary: Staying in the flat at Messnerhof Winery was fabulous! Bernhard was the perfect host, being there when we arrived, available if we had questions, and checking in from time to time to make sure all was well. He took us on a tour of his winery and had wines available for us to enjoy, and we did! We’re looking forward to sharing some with friends when we return home. The flat was comfortable and had everything you need for a vacation in Bolzano. The area is breathtaking and Bernhard shared directions to walks/hikes in the area, best ways to get into town, and even supplied a pass that we were able to use if we visited sites in town or use on transportation. The views were stunning, like living in a postcard for the week. We’d definitely recommend staying there!

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at Messnerhof. The host was very friendly, had lots of good advice and is making great wine. Staying in the middle of the vineyards with a view over the city was beautiful. The last bit of the road to the appartment is steep, but doable. The walk to the center of town does take a while (± 30 min). Good to do with nice weather. I would certainly recommend a stay here!

Summary: We loved staying at this unique property. Located in a vineyard it has wonderful views over the valley and surrounding vineyards. The apartment is extremely comfortable with everything you need. It is relatively new so beds, lounge and kitchen are all excellent. We enjoyed our days out and coming back to cook and relax here at night and sample the excellent wines on offer. We even had a great wine tour and tasting. It is a 25 minute walk into town and back up a hill, which we were happy to do in order to stay somewhere so special. I would highly recommend staying here.

Summary: Bernhard picked is up at the train station as we were coming in, in the evening. The accommodation was very clean. The surroundings are stunning and breathtaking. The apartment was fully equipped and had everything we needed also the basic cooking essentials. We took a tour of his winery and loved his passion and knowledge for all that he does. His wine was one of the very best we’ve ever had! We will surely come back!

Summary: Amazing property! Everything you may need, clean and modern. Mesmerizing views and area! It is on the outskirts, so be ready to walk around 15 min to city center or drive a couple minutes. The views are definitely worth a little walk. The host is very helpful and friendly, recommend!

Summary: Apartment was clean, good size, and met basic needs. In sum, we’ve stayed in apartments all over Europe with our two kids and this one was good, but not the best. The bedding is dated (pillows really need to be updated), and finding a grocery store with parking was a challenge.

Summary: A beautiful home set against the lovely vineyards in Bolzano, run by the friendliest, warmest and most caring host, Mr. Bernhard. My family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children, 8 & 9) had the most amazing stay at this apartment. As we did not drive during our trip, Mr. Bernhard even offered to pick us up from the train station on a Sunday. We eagerly accepted and were really really grateful to that. Actually, it wouldn't have been difficult to get to his place on our own. With luggage in tow, it is possible to reach by taxi that would have just cost around 8 Euros. He was really very kind. Everything in the house was impeccably designed and built. Upon arrival, Mr. Bernhard gave us the tourists cards for Bolzano which saved us a lot of money as it allowed us free public transportation in the area and also free visits to selected museums. Those cards (7 days validity) would have cost our family about 100 Euros otherwise. We put the cards to good use and went to Lake Carezza, up the Ritten cable cars to Renon (free too, with the cards), and visited museums. We enjoyed the wine produced by Mr. Bernhard too. We had a chance to try his Gewürztraminer and loved it. The jam his family produced was also tasty. Although his family no longer bakes bread where guests can order, Mr. Bernhard gladly helped us get our daily dose of the freshest and yummiest bread you can find in Bolzano. I don't think we can find another apartment of this quality in our travels. The hospitality we experienced was amazing and the memories of this wonderful place will last forever. Thank you so much Mr. Bernhard.
