Positive: Vintage charm, friendly staff, and the relaxed vibes. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom facilities clean. In reading reviews about train noise we were initially concerned but the sound is muted and didn't disrupt sleep at all. In fact, the only real noise is minimal and is from foot traffic in the halls on the way from room to bathroom. The bar on the first floor was great. We enjoyed a late night drink and dessert and then the next morning we played shuffleboard and a competitive game of pool. We really enjoyed our stay and everything the hotel had to offer.

Negative: The steep stairs up to the rooms were challenging for my senior citizen mom but otherwise, everything was great.

Positive: Clean, comfy bunk beds, charming decor, lots of history:) I thought not having my own private bathroom would annoy me, but it was no problem. There were plenty of bathrooms, i never had to wait.

Negative: I wouldn't recommend the restaurant... It was okay ish. Might have been an off night though, as I've had great food at other McMinimins.
