Summary: The room was not cleaned prior to use we found a small shard of glass next to the fridge. The thermostatic valve on the radiator was broken so no control of the room temperature the shower hose was split and the cleaning was very poor we got coffee replaced daily and that was it we had to wash our cups out and make the bed up every day not big things but enough to put you off going again

Summary: A fantastic hotel in a great location. Easy to find with ample car parking at the rear. Warm welcome at reception and friendly efficient service. Room was immaculate and very well maintained. Great night’s sleep, quiet location and comfortable bed. Breakfast was fab, staff friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend and would happily stay there again. Thank you to all the staff at the Mayfield for a very comfortable stay.

Summary: I have given five stars all round as it was well deserved. The bed was very comfortable, there was a wine cooler/fridge and a safe in the room, plenty of hanging and drawer space in the triple wardrobe. The room was much better than we had expected.
