Positive: Our host was amazing. She was so kind and organised- even drove me 5km to the nearest store. The beds were out of this world, and the whole place was snug and warm on a very cold night. Such a wonderful refurbishment of an old Edo building.

Positive: Nice cozy Ryokan. Wonderful host. Very central location on the Nakasendo road. Quiet. Comfy beds and warmed blankets. Big warm bathtub. Heating is available.

Negative: Note for tall people: One room and bathroom have lower entrance and slightly lower ceiling, but the host warned us and it has padding.

Positive: This accommodation is right on the Nakasendo Way in one of the original buildings. It does mean that you need to take care to protect the flooring, and the bedroom has a very low ceiling. The owner went out of her way to look after us.
