Negative: A bit dark, chilly, a climb down stairs to access the unit. Down a dark unpaved road. No TV in bedrooms.

Positive: The location was great, very nicely stocked and nicely decorated.

Negative: There is a musty smell that was persistent throughout our stay. It was a damp area. It is a basement apartment. We were there for 4 nights. Owners lovely people, so i did not say anything. Any clothing that was not in drawers, and hanging in closets had to be washed when we got home as they had the musty smell in them. Even goldfish left on the counter overnight were soft in the morning due to the moisture. I don't think staying a whole week would be healthy. The smell was more noticeable when you were gone for a while and then returned. Watching tv at night it was not bothersome. The bedding felt damp in the mornings. That was the only issue. Owners very responsive to anything we needed.

Summary: Nice place, a bit musty. Great location.

Positive: Very clean, the kitchen was well equipped. Sue provided maps and good information about what to do on Martha’s Vineyard.

Negative: Slightly on the costly side for the location and the fact that it is a basement apartment.
