3 Bedroom Cottage in East Chop, Oak Bluffs

Recently built, this spectacular 3 Bedroom carriage house is located on 3/4 acre estate on beautiful East Chop Drive. The interior is finished with top of the line decor, including a beautifully decorated living room, bedrooms, and open-living professional kitchen with granite counter tops and island. Other amenities include a dishwasher, trash compactor, air conditioner, ceiling fans in each room, walk-in shower, and large capacity washer and dryer in the garage below.
The Master Bedroom has 1 king bed, and the second bedroom has 1 queen bed. The pull out sofa is also queen size. All rooms have Smart TVs and Bluos sound systems to listen to your favorite music, and there are USB charging outlets throughout the house. Walnut hardwood flooring with oriental rugs.
The first level Queen Bedroom, walk in shower, air conditioning, smart TV, closet. Own entrance from driveway. No stairs to enter, just one step up.
The outdoor deck is furnished with Lloyd Flanders furniture and overlooks beautiful landscaped grounds. The home is just minutes to Jetty Beach and downtown Oak Bluffs where you will find many attractions, great restaurants and wonderful local shops. There is a private entrance to the Carriage House on West Ave.
We think the greatest asset of staying in our carriage house is the privacy and serenity. Sitting on the deck overlooking the beautiful grounds, taking in the fresh ocean air. The best part is walking out the door, through the landscaped yard and ending up on the ''Chop'' where you will take in the East Chop Light House and beautiful Nantucket Sound. Besides being located on East Chop Drive, you can easily walk to the local beach, downtown Oak Bluffs where you will find great restaurants like the Red Cat, The Chowder Company (which, by the way, has the best chowder ever), Lookout Tavern, Nancy's, Biscuits to name a few. Also, many boating excursions, fishing, pirate ship, ferry to Nantucket, the oldest carousell in the U.S Mopeds and renting a car to cruise around the island. Fun shopping for clothes, tee shirts, beautiful island made items, etc. East Chop is the perfect spot for when you want to get away for relaxation and peaceful surroundings and only be minutes away from downtown from the hustle and bustle of downtown Oak Bluffs' nightlife; The Ritz is a must see where local musicians play 2x a night with no cover before 10:00.

Summary: The perfect place to land and just the right amount of space. Lots of natural light and comfortable beds. Being along the East Chop bluffs was perfect for morning walks/runs down to the public beach for a swim! It was quiet. Elaine was just a text away and we had everything we needed. Walk to town for morning donuts, and easy driving distance to both OB (State Beach, restaurants, town) and VH (shopping, restaurants). We highly recommend this spot!

Summary: We had a great stay at the carriage house - I'm giving it 5 stars all around as that's as high a rating as I can give it. Elaine is a great host, the house is lovely and clean and perfectly equipped - kitchen, towels, sheets, furniture, etc. The location was great for our getaway. It is right across the street from the water and very quiet and serene.

Summary: The carriage house is lovely in every way. It is very quiet, as advertised, and close to both Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs. My only disappointment was the deck as it was in the hot sun except for early morning and evening. A bigger, better umbrella or retractable awning would help a lot. Also, a small table to eat at either inside or on the deck for perfection.

Summary: In addition to the Carriage House and its gardens being absolutely beautiful, it is clean and exceptionally well appointed with all high end furnishings and decor. Everything we needed was there, and the peaceful neighborhood and proximity to all our destinations while on the island was perfect. Elaine is a very gracious and helpful host. I highly recommend this gorgeous place to truly relax and hear the birds of East Chop as well as have the buoy bell in the distance lull you to sleep. We will be back!

Summary: My wife and I had the best time at Elaine and Kevin’s property. We worked during the week from the cottage which was equipped with high speed internet. Then had the opportunity to explore the area in our downtime. We could not have enjoyed it more. It is perfect walking distance from town. Very close to Vineyard Haven which is full of interesting shops and restaurants. We enjoyed tennis at the club down the street and golf at Farm Neck. We could not have had a better time. Kevin and Elaine are phenomenal people and hosts. We hope to be back!!!

Summary: The hosts were there to welcome us to their house, and explain everything. The house is amazing and modern, with no issues. The neighborhood is quiet and a short walk to downtown Oak Bluffs. They were always quick to respond to our inquiries. Highly recommend.
