Positive: Mariners surprised us but you really do not have to book five stars for a comfy stay in the Caribbean. Mariners is a nice, not too large hotel in perfect location. There even is a small beach, considering that St Vincent does not really offer beaches, this one was fine, clean and good for swimming. The views from our balcony were splendid. Breakfast is not included in the room price but we could decide spontaneously, and they were tasty, very much Caribbean with saltfish, dough boys or omelette with fresh market veg. Hotel staff was wonderful. We had dinners at the Verandah restaurant, which were very good, or went to Mangoz along the boardwalk. Mint Café nearby is much recommended as well. Right by the hotel buses are stopping both directions, and in no time you are in Kingstown. A trip to Georgetown including the hike up the volcano La Soufrière is a hot tip too. Would stay at Mariners again!
Negative: Shower and fridge were a bit dated, but still alright.
Summary: Fabulous!

Positive: THE VIEW FROM OUR ROOM ---pool and gardens- then the sea- then Young Island and nearly all the time in sunshine and quiet. The board-walk from the hotel to Valle beach with access to many eating places.
Negative: we had hoped for more snorlelling but only 2 companies were offering snorkelling.
Summary: relaxing in the sun with no crowds-good food and places to go on a beautiful island,

Positive: The receptionist Whitney was so pleasant and wonderful. I am fairly sensitive and I gave her my complaints and it was dealt with very efficiently. Other hotel staff were a bit expressionless but not rude. Perfect location access to many restaurants along the board walk (do not go to young resort) hotel very peaceful.

Positive: The view. You’re literally watching Young island. This was the best part of the property. The property is old and outdated. But they do a good job keeping it clean. The price was also very affordable.
Negative: I did not like the club next door. The music kept waking me up. I also did not like that the locals were everywhere. I’m from Saint Vincent, I live in the US. When I come home, I stay at a hotel for comfort. I usually stay at Blue Lagoon, there’s locals there but they do not annoy you. At this hotel, I was standing at the bar waiting for my food and a local man started cussing profanity and yelling on the phone. A white tourist was sitting next to him and the yelling and vulgar language made the man jump. That behavior should never be tolerated. It deters tourists. I don’t associate myself with people who act like animals. Also, I tried to get breakfast and they told me the staff aren’t in yet even though that was time breakfast start. I was hungry and annoyed because that’s not the way hotels should be ran. If you’re traveling without your kids, stay here. With young kids, definitely stay elsewhere.
Summary: Beautiful view

Positive: The decore and bathroom needs to be redone It’s old fashion Also I could smell sewage smells in the bathroom Also the floor tiles need to be changed or something to make the room more soft The lighting is horrible and not soothing. You need to change the bulbs to warm lighting instead of cold blue lighting. The curtains are old and you need blackout curtains. The hotel has real potential it just needs a redo. The garden needs more plants and grass. Windows need to be cleaned so you can see outside. Otherwise it is a great hotel in a great location with amazing views
Summary: Nice
