This spacious top floor flat is located in the delightful residential area of Merchiston, with its leafy green streets, close to the local centres of both Bruntsfield and Morningside which have an attractive selection of shops, cafes restaurants and boutiques. The open spaces of Bruntsfield Links and the Meadows are a short walk away. Frequent buses run from close to the apartment into the city centre.
Please note that this apartment is on the top floor, and as such there's quite a lot of stairs to climb. It may not be suitable for people with walking difficulties.
A sunny south-facing sitting room has an attractive bay window, with a table and chair placed in it for those wishing to work or study, has extensive views over housetops to the Pentlands. Comfortable seating is grouped round an Art Deco Style Fireplace and the owners have provided a TV with DVD Player for leisure moments. There is also Wi-Fi internet access.

Summary: Pleasant three day stay. Posting of the 66 stairs to reach the unit earlier in the advertisement would help in deciding where to stay. Otherwise all was good

Summary: The three flights of stairs may be a problem for some people. Microwave needs changing…( just to let you know.. Edinburgh a nice city. Buses brilliant.

Summary: We loved this place. It was perfectly placed far enough away from the city and the noise yet if you're used to it you can walk, under, or take the bus. The fact that everything was laid out in such great detail even down to how to fold out the couch was wonderful and the owners are very easy to talk to and get in touch with. I can't recommend this place enough.

Summary: Very nice clean apartment. Very quiet neighborhood yet close to several shops, restaurants, grocery store and bus stop. Only thing I would say is that maybe it should be clearly stated that it is on the fourth floor and you have to climb three flights of 22 steps. I know it says top floor and I know there’s a photo in the listing of the building so it’s my fault that I didn’t put 2 and 2 together. It wasn’t terrible but someone with more limited mobility would have struggled. Other suggestion- the apartment really needs a couple of fans to move air through and for white noise to sleep by. Otherwise very pleased. Host very responsive to any questions I had and even sent me instructions on how to operate the washing machine since I wasn’t familiar with it.
