Summary: The house is very nice and situated in a lovely garden. Everything is excellent apart from the internet connection. Moderate WiFi. The hosts are charming and very helpful. The area feels very secure and easy access from major roads. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Summary: When we first arrived we were greeted by our hosts, Salvatore and Rosie. They were so delightful and welcoming despite our lack of common language. Then you see the property which was simply beautiful, homely but also elegant. The location was so central we managed to explore so much in just a few days and still had time to relax by our lovely private pool and garden. We were also offered a dinner cooked by our hosts which was delicious and they returned later to chat with us. Can’t speak highly enough of this place. But you would most definitely need a car to be able to come and go.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Alessio’s farmhouse. It is spotlessly clean with all the amenities we expected. The location is perfect for exploring Puglia. We must thank Salvatore and Rosa for being so welcoming and friendly, they couldn’t do enough for us, and Rosa’s food is beautiful. We hope to return one day.

Summary: Me and my family stayed at this beautiful property to relax and visit the surrounding areas. The historic property was very clean and had absolutely beautiful grounds. Our kids loved exploring the garden and swimming in the lovely pool. We had a really delicious dinner cooked by Rosy and Salvatore - it was great! Wonderful hosts and we are so glad we got to meet our new friends next door. If we ever are able to come back, we would love to stay here again.

Summary: This is a beautiful villa and the gardens and pool are well maintained with the pool being cleaned daily. The interior is rustic and original but the bathroom is modern and clean. There are two bedrooms and the beds are comfortable. I would suggest new pillows would be in order as the ones we had were pretty poor. There is plenty of crockery and pots and pans for cooking and the kitchen is fit for purpose. Although there is a gas hob, there is no oven but it was fine for our needs. There is WiFi but it is very temperamental dependent where in the villa you are. The villa is looked after by Salvatore and his wife Rosie who visit the villa daily from their villa next door to clean the pool and remove any waste. Although they can’t speak English and our Italian was non existent, we managed to understand each other by way of a smattering of French, Spanish, google translate and sign language. You can opt for Salvatore and Rosie to make you a meal, which costs 14.5 euros per adult, which we did. The meal which included wine was lovely. Salvatore recommended a restaurant called Amelie in nearby Maglie, which was superb. The villa is in a great location being only 20 minutes or so by car from Lecce and Otranto and 45 minutes from Leuca at the very tip of the heel where we went on a boat trip. Communication was very good from Alessio and the friendly engaging nature of Salvatore and Rosie was superb. Thanks for a great stay.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at the house very much and swam in the pool evey day even thoughbit was already October! The Maseria is a good starting point for exporing the area or simply staying homw in the garden to relax. Rosy and her husband are the most kind hosts and even shared fresh veggis from their garden with us.
