Positive: Maison J is very spacious with an authentic style. The view from the terrace was beautiful. The whole place was out of this world. Ismael gave us a warm welcome and looked after us the whole time. His wife cooked us dinner. They were the perfect hosts. Me and my 2 boys are very grateful of their hospitality.

Summary: It was a very memorable and heartwarming experience.

Positive: The location is very special, as the house is one of the few renovated houses in a deserted Kasbah. The renovation is nicely done and the view of the terrace on the oasis is very beautiful. We also had an interesting guided tour around the Kasbah which Ismael arranged for us.

Negative: The accommodation was a bit hard to find. It’s important to contact Ismael by WhatsApp before you arrive, as he helps to guide you to the accommodation. The dinner is in one of the nearby restaurants. Although it was good, the prices are a bit expensive compared to other restaurants in Morocco.

Positive: At first, we had some reservations about our choice, especially when we arrived in a village that seemed a bit rundown. However, we kept an open heart for the experience ahead. To our delight, this turned out to be one of the most memorable surprises of our journey in Morocco! Our cozy little room and the overall beauty of the building left us in awe. Ismael, our wonderful host, was incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. He was always available, even late at night, and went above and beyond by carrying our bags for us. On the day of our departure, he even reached out to check if we had a wonderful day. He guided us through the hidden treasures of the abandoned village and treated us to a delightful dinner at the kasbah. With every step we took, we were captivated by the stunning scenery around us. This enchanting place and the warm-hearted people who call it home truly deserve to be recognized. Thank you for everything – it was a truly magical experience!

Negative: The mosquitos were a challenge but Ismael got us a repellent and it worked.

Positive: Staying within this kasbah was a great experience. The room we had adequate. The position of the riad on the edge of the kasbah overlooking the palmeriae was very beautiful - a walk through the palmeriae is recommended. Our host Ismail was fantastic. We guided us around the Tamnagalt kasbah and explained everything, prepared our breakfast, joined us in conversation and really made our time there very rewarding and memorable. He organised dinner for us at a nearby rooftop terrace restaurant in the kasbah.
