Positive: An Absolute Paradise in Hòa Bình – Perfect Family & Friends Getaway! We just returned from a magical 5-day, 4-night stay at Maida Lodge, and it was truly one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever had. Traveling as a family of three with an 11-month-old boy, along with two of our close friends, we weren’t sure how easy a lakefront retreat would be with a baby—but Maida Lodge exceeded every expectation. The Hospitality From the moment we arrived, the service was world-class. The staff are some of the most wonderful people we’ve met—warm, attentive, and genuinely happy to help. A special shout-out to the *manager*, who was incredibly professional and personally ensured that every small request we had (especially with a young child in tow) was handled immediately. You can really feel that they care about their guests' experience. The Beauty of the Place The location is simply breathtaking. Tucked away in the Da Bac area, the lodge offers stunning panoramic views of *Da River* and the surrounding limestone mountains. The Infinity Pool: Waking up to a swim in the saltwater infinity pool while looking out over the misty lake was a highlight. The Atmosphere: It’s quiet, serene, and feels completely disconnected from the hustle and bustle of city life. The sunrise over the water is something you have to see to believe. The Design: The lodge blends perfectly with nature, using rustic, eco-friendly materials that feel both luxurious and grounded. Perfect for Everyone Even with an 11-month-old, we felt completely at ease. The space is peaceful enough for baby naps, yet offered plenty of activities for our friends, like **kayaking** on the crystal-clear water and enjoying delicious, fresh local cuisine at the restaurant. We cannot wait to come back!

Positive: Very nice and comfortable small scale resort with beautiful view on the lake with mountains on the backdrop. Quite popular with people living in Hanoi, and seeking a little relax break. They picked us up with the boat, which was very convenient and saved us a long trip by car. The food is great! We tried many local dishes and they were all great The manager Truong was the best! Very friendly and helpful, he elevated our stay from very good to excellent, thank you so much!

Negative: Small suggestions in case the ambition is to attrack more foreign visitors; we'd appreciate a slightly larger cocktail menu. They offer 3 kind (very tasty), but it's a small selection and since there are various fresh juices available on the menu, it would be easy to turn them into cocktails. And while never inconvenient for us, we noticed that there were just 5 sunbeds in the pool area, which meant not everyone can perhaps enjoy them when they would like. Perhaps another 3 on each wooden deck would already increase the capacity significantly without compromise the aesthetics of the pool area too much. Again, small suggestions. We really enjoyed our stay!

Positive: Maida Lodge is a dream! The rooms are beautifully designed with gorgeous lake views, and the entire property feels like a luxury oasis. It is incredibly peaceful with very little traffic nearby, making it perfect for walks or kayaking on the clean lake. The food was delicious (don't miss the grilled fish!), and the pool is fantastic. Mr. Truong and his staff are wonderful—they are attentive and helpful (organizing all our transport seamlessly) but also respect your privacy. It was one of the best experiences of our trip. Highly recommended!

Negative: There was nothing not to like about it.
