Positive: Much more space and peace than we expected. Great location - perfect base for North Scotland. Also lots of shops and restaurants within a few minutes drive. There was a nice spot for a quick dog walk just beside the river. Both the caravan park and the lodge itself had everything I could think of. The owner was very helpful and friendly. We had a really great stay. For the UK standards it was very clean as well.

Negative: The driveway really needs to be maintained better. Beds in smaller bedroom are a little to short for adults, although it's understandable as space in lodge is limited.

Negative: The bedsheets were a bit dirty (white spots in the dark-blue bedding and hairs). And there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom and the separate toilet.

Positive: the lodge is very spacious, comfortable and plenty of crockery/utensils. Great location for the NC500 route

Negative: The lane up to the actual lodge is steep and in a very bad state of repair with huge craters causing the car to wheel spin loosing traction and veering to the side which was quite scary. The decking is neglected with loose railings.
