Positive: Liz was a great hostess. Baked us bread, gave us eggs from her hens, showed us around her extensive veggie garden and the antics of her 7 bengal kittens were a delight to watch. The fire was ready and every effort was made to made our stay comfortable. We would definitely stay with her again.

Positive: Such a beautiful spot, the property is one of a kind with the most beautiful gardens. The host was fantastic and so helpful. The gardens are perfect for a run around with the dog and a beautiful place to explore.

Summary: Excellent host, truly a one of a kind place. Wish we could had stayed more than one night!

Negative: The terrible mess around the property. The mattress in our bedroom was the most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept on.

Positive: Location was amazing, unique and beautiful! We loved the eggs, milk and bread that was provided. The vegetable garden was a bonus. We enjoyed cooking, sitting outside in the gorgeous garden, visiting with cats, chickens and goats. They never bothered us; we seek them out! Plenty of room for our family of five.

Negative: I didn't like leaving! Everything was perfect.

Positive: First, I should apologise for not completing this review over a month ago. Life gets in the way@ We had spent over a week, travelling the NC500 route. This was our last stopover before going home. It didn't disappoint. Another apology, I've forgotten the host lady's name but she was very welcoming, explained all the remarkable facilities very well, offered recommended places to eat in Dingwall, and provided items to use for our breakfast. We had stayed in some very good places on our trip, but this was close to the best....great value, lovely old building and garden, chickens, a goose; but what swayed it were the cats and kittens ...how my three grown up "kids" didn't smuggle one out i don't know. We hope to be back, not in the same group, but with partners, in the not too distant future ! Thank you. 🙂
