Summary: This home is quirky and beautiful. It has 4 spacious and nicely appointed bedrooms. The beds were comfortable. I rented this home because of the backyard and the view. It lived up to the photos. I stayed at this home during the weekend where an epic storm knocked out the power on the Monterrey peninsula and most of the Carmel Valley. Because we didn’t have power, there was of course no internet, but unexpectedly there was no running water. What made it not a bad situation, was how awesome the property manager was. He was so attentive. He did everything he could to find us another house in the region, but also learned that it didn’t have power either. The property manager had water and extra flash lights delivered shortly after I let him know what happened. It was a crazy situation, but I couldn’t have thought about a better place to be glamping. The property manager had lots of fire wood stocked upon our arrival, so we used the awesome fireplace to provide light and we sat in the living room just admiring the view and the stars when the clouds blew away. The windows give great lighting. Every room has a little outdoor space. The courtyard in the middle was super cool for our dog and it’s beautiful. My only recommendation for the house is to update the cookware in the kitchen. There were lots of dishes, silverware, and mugs, but the pots and pans and serverware situation could use a little help. Even with that, I would totally rent this property again.

Summary: I am writing this note while being mesmerized by a hawk soaring over the hillside across the way. I feel a kinship with him. Not a care in the world at least for me. Last night we sat around the fire pit watching the stars become more visible as the evening got later and the sky darker. Day or night, indoors or out, one feels gratitude and right at home from the moment you walk in the door! The first words out of my mouth were “ Wow! This is incredible!” The photographs on the webpage are excellent and give you a notion that you are in for a treat, but to actually be here, is even beyond that. The kitchen is well equipped with high quality appliances and pots and pans and enough table settings to feed a family. We had our three adult daughters and four of our grand children and lacked for nothing. The main rooms flow into each other, kitchen to dining area, with a large double sided fireplace dividing it from the living room and family room. A wall of windows and glass doors run across that entire level to enjoy a “knock your socks off” lovely view of Carmel Valley hills in the distance and a wonderful entertainment area with an infinity pool, hot tub and fire pit and multiple seating areas. Up a few stairs are several bedrooms and bathrooms. Each of the bedrooms has a private outside patio. The master bedroom is at the far end of the house and is stunning. The bathroom is gorgeous! There is an interior court yard with an outside dining area. The long hall parallels the main living area with three pleasant bedrooms on one end and another bedroom and laundry room on the other end of the house. There is a garage with a Tesla charger. You just feel good in this house! There is plenty of spaces to be together and visit and plenty of spaces to be alone with a good book or just time and space to reflect on your good fortune to be at this beautiful home.
