Summary: We had a wonderful time staying at the flat in Crete. You just can't capture the beauty of the house in pictures. The house was amazing, the property manager was very friendly and responsive, the town was amazing and the people were amazing. We had a truly spectacular time in Crete. My only regret was we couldn't stay longer.

Summary: This villa was extraordinarily beautiful with a view to die for, really well supplied and everything in excellent working order. We loved the outdoor kitchens and the garden and felt really spoiled. Biggi and Ari were lovely hosts and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The village is gorgeous and just a stones throw from nearby beaches. There were only two downsides to the property - one is that it is at the top of an extremely steep hill with a poor road so you need to be a confident driver or be prepared to do a decent walk home after dinner in the village. The other was that the pool was quite cold for younger children so I wish we had brought wetsuitS for them to be able to play For longer periods. All in all though, fabulous place and lovely people.

Summary: Maurits/Belgium We were a group of 8 ( 4 adult and 4 teenagers 14-16 yrs) that stayed in Villa Thalassa for 3 weeks in augus 2011. We ahd a superb time, not in the least because of the quality of the villa. The description as give on the site was very accurate, it is indeed a beautiful villa. Impecably cleaned, very well equipped (incredibly well equipped kitchen!!!), a regularly cleaned swimmingpool, more than anough place for all of us to have our own privacy inside as well as outside, a very nicely built outside eating arrangement. Aristide and Birgit and theur daughter Chrissie were the best hosts ever, providing us with all the information and tips we needed, always prepared to help us. We were invited to help Ari with the grapes picking (he makes a very nice raki...)with all the other tenants of his other houses and share a big dinner at his house. Great experience! We loved Matala and it's atmosphere, the beach at Agi Galini, Delfinos restaurant at Kalimakis Beach, touring on the motor bike via the coastal road to Lendas, trips to heraklion and Rethminon. The girls (at 16) were perhaps a bit disappointed at the possibilities to go out to clubs and bars, but we happiky drove them to Chersonissos a few times (and they took the bus themselves from Pitsidia), so that was solved. We would recommend villa Thalassa to everyone! (no very little children tough, because of the swimming pool)

Summary: A last minute decision to get away, a jewel in Crete found...The property is beautiful, the views are stunning, but what truly made the holiday was the warm hospitality of Brigitte, Aristedis and Chrissie. The weather was hot, the wind blew, the food was great. This area of Crete is truly unspoilt, the 60's hippie hotspot of Matala with its caves and amazing sunset. The tuesday night concert in Pitsidia... all great fun and full of interesting characters !!! We will be going back...
