Summary: Helene's property is stunning. Beautiful art, lovely sunlight, comfortable beds. She is a super lovely host. The property is a 10 min drive outside the city. I recommend having a car or getting a taxi drivers number in order to get in and out.

Summary: Over the last few years living in Mexico, my family and I have stayed at a number of vrbos—a few bad, many good, and a few fantastic. This one tops them all. It was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The pictures, lovely though they are, don’t do it justice. Helen and Chris made us feel like we had been neighbors for years as soon as we stepped in the door. I cannot recommend it enough. If you are coming to Oaxaca and would like to feel immediately at home (albeit a home far more lovely than ours is likely ever to be), stay here.

Summary: This house is beautiful with perfectly manicured gardens and is set by a tranquil rushing stream. The neighborhood is superior and there is attention to detail throughout the lovely home. But if privacy is important, this is probably not the rental for you. The owners, quite kind and well-intentioned, stay in an attached apartment and are almost always on the property. They came into the house frequently, completely unannounced. It's a little like staying with your in-laws but paying to do so.
