* It is only a 5 minute roundtrip on the water on the ferry/barge(you stay in your car). Do not let the ferry deter you from staying, as staying directly on the ocean (you literally fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean) on the mainland would be much more expensive... a pass is only required to get your car on the island - getting off is free - no reservations required and you buy a pass at the ferry before boarding with your car or even as a "walk on" - go onto www.palmislandtransit.com website for ferry info - you can buy a booklet of passes if you plan to go off often!
* It is aLUXURY END townhouse so it has more privacy and feels more like a house - it has 3 levels/decks, all directly on the ocean with clear ocean views (you can see Boca Grande), and has an indoor outdoor feel with big new sliding glass doors that slide completely open so that you feel that you are outside!
* Both bedrooms are on the top level, both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and both sets of bedrooms are completely separated from each other by another door, if you so choose, for complete privacy from one another :)
* Stainless Steel appliances in kitchen with filtered water in/from the fridge door.
* Enjoy filtered sunlight through palm trees whilst drinking your morning coffee on the private porch overlooking the ocean and/or relaxing eating your breakfast and lunch!

* Outside shower (it is the third shower with both hot and cold water - the other 2 are inside) with a view of the ocean, both for yourself and your pets (has an extendable hand-held section)!

* Brand new EMS/fire-engine/station staffed 24/7 on island - call 911 for help in an emergency.
* Beach is well known for it's wide variety of shells!

* It is a Non- smoking property, which includes no smoking on outdoor porches.
* You can buy both car and walk-on ferry passes through the island ferry company!
There is one casual restaurant in the Resort and an ice cream/deli/coffee shop, as well as a cute gift store. There are no large high-rise buildings nor beach bars/loud music on the island (...but it is all available only a short car ferry ride away on the mainland!). Just the sounds of the ocean to lull you to sleep...you could call it nature's paradise! The area is also known for it's great shell collecting and fishing! Observe dolphins swimming by, manatees, pelicans diving into the ocean, turtles, turtle nests and baby turtles during the Summer season, many types of birds, gopher tortoises, even crocodiles in the intercostal waterway and bays....nature on your doorstep - an amazing experience that you will treasure forever! Golf carts are the preferred relaxing choice for exploring the island - you have to experience it for yourself!
Off island, there are 3 well-stocked Publix grocery stores, both locally-owned and chain restaurants, shops, golf courses, Boca Grande Island nearby, as well as the beautiful, modern Sarasota Mall. Cayo Costa Island and Cabbage Key (where Jimmy Buffet got his inspiration to write "Cheeseburger in Paradise") are only a boat ride away!
There is a short 4 min car barge style ferry ride(it is free to drive off) to get your car across from the mainland, so that you can drive your car right to our property - with self check in!
The area is served by four airports: Punta Gorda Airport, Sarasota Bradenton International Airport, Ft. Myers Airport and Tampa International Airport.
