Amongst the olive trees, the fruit trees and the flowers, the traditional stone-built 160m2 villa is placed alone on waterfront, less than 30m from the estate’s “private” beach, with stunning view of the bay. It is decorated with respect to the island's tradition and architecture, with some exceptional antiques of the family, while at the same time provides all the comforts of modern living. It consists of :(a) 2 very big bedrooms, (b) 2 large bathrooms, one with bathtub and shower and the other with shower(with a washing machine), (c) a fully equipped kitchen, with all the facilities for cooking, pastry making, etc., that has immediate access to the living room, (d) a large wooden roof living room, with byzantine-style marble floor and a fireplace. In the living room there is a sofa, that can be transformed in 2 separate beds.
Its two huge verandas with their marble tables, offer you the opportunity to have breakfast, dinner, etc., enjoying the majestic sea view.
Another big marble table is placed on the beach, near the sea.
Elaionas in Greek means Olive Grove. “Elaionas Nikou” is a beautiful olive grove estate of 25.000m2, in the embrace of the amazing Gera bay at the South-eastern part of Lesvos island. A shelter of harmony and peacefulness, at the SEAFRONT of the crystal clear waters of the bay.
This villa is the biggest of the five villas of Elaionas and the closest to the sea. It is 30-50m far from the other houses, so total privacy is ensured.
The farm is certified organic and produces high quality olive oil. Many of the olive trees are over 200 years old and are themselves artistic natural sculptures.
In the estate there are also almond, fig, apricot, quince and other fruit trees, that give special flavour to the olive oil we produce.
Walking around, in the farm, you will be fascinated by the smell of wild herbs like oregano, thyme, rosemary, etc.. In the gardens of the house we have planted verbena, sage, mint, marjoram, peppermint, basil , etc.. We also have organic vegetable garden for our use and for our customers. So living in the nature and protecting the environment is our way of living.
Here famous artists have been entertained, such as the painter Yannis Tsarouchis, the Nobel price winner for literature Odysseus Elytis, the painter critic Teriant, while others have placed on canvas the beauty of the area such as Manolis Kaligiannis, Agathe Bunz and Oreste Kanellis.
Alexis and Katerina Nikou, the owners, made their life dream come true in this project, with love, importance to the detail and soul. The propensity of Alexis to gastronomy and good life will be a pleasant surprise to you during your stay here.
The sessions can take place in “Elaionas Nikou” or at the hot springs called “Therma”, which are located at the Gulf of Gera, only 5 km away from the Olive Grove. There you can enjoy your therapeutic bath in the traditional pools before or after your massage.
You can choose among:
• Holistic Massage: During the session, organic olive oil from Lesvos enriched with essential oils is used.
• Thai-Massage: The session focuses on muscular stretching for strengthening and relaxation.
• Reiki: For spiritual and emotional relaxation.
You can combine your massage with extra treatments using the following: Ayurvedic powder, hot stones or crystals; peeling with salt and mud from the Dead Sea or face treatment with essential oils.
Elaionas has a waste water treatment plant. All the lamps are energy saving. We use drip irrigation system for saving water. In the fireplaces we use wood from the pruning of the trees .

Summary: This is a wonderful property, in a spacious, natural and peaceful setting, safe and beautiful, set within a grove of olive trees overlooking the gulf. The house was super clean (and there was a regular cleaning service), airy and and full of character. The kitchen is really well equipped and there is a spacious terrace to breakfast on, another magical area to have dinner under the trees and festoon lights and everything feels very well cared for. The private beach on the gulf is picturesque and we mostly had it to ourselves. There are a couple of kayaks and a paddle board that our kids loved. It's so close to Mytilene, yet it doesn't feel that way. You can drive or get a taxi there in 15 minutes and enjoy eating at one of the town's great restaurants and take in the vibrant atmosphere. There is also a taverna a short drive or 15 mins walk, that serves amazing fresh fish on the waterside. And it's a great base to other locations on the southern portion of the island. Alexis and his wife were wonderful hosts, full of information about places to eat and visit and even booking them for us. Of all our family holidays, it is the place we are most likely to revisit. Summary: I cannot say enough good things about our time staying in this villa. First of all, the location is stunning. The grounds are so peaceful, well kept, and the view of the gulf is beautiful. Alexis was a perfect host and has made sure his guests have everything they could need. He was always available if needed. The house was spotless and it was regularly cleaned while we were there. There is a wonderful taverna down the road but the kitchen is full of gadgets and all the essentials if one prefers to cater for themselves. There’s a supermarket not far away as well. The location of the property is perfect as a base while staying on Lesvos. It’s not a far drive at all from Mytilene or the airport. It’s easy to get from there to many other places on the island too. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Lesvos.

Summary: Alexis and Catherine’s place at Pirgi is a real small paradise. Their stone-house is beautiful and lovely set up and organized. We live in a big house in Milan and we don’t miss any comfort we are used to. Ancient and fascinating olive trees are all around the house, large terraces drive you to the seaside …far just 20 mt. from the house. The small ‘private’ beach is amazing: amacas, sunbeds, couch, tables, kayaks are available and you don’t need any umbrella because of the shadow from the olive trees and tamarisk trees. The house is in front of the Ghera’s gulf. Always calm and protected by the wind, the small beach is not sandy but covered by small stones of every color you can imagine; not pretty easy for very young kids or aged people; the water is clean but not clear as for the Gulf is very protected. Diving there you can easily find an amazing variety of coquillage, oysters included! At our arrival at the house we found home made marmalade, cherry and honey, fresh figs, ouzo, olive oil, olives and feta offered by Alexis and Catherine. A garderner and a maid have taken care of the house regularly and we received a service similar to an hotel. That’s why your privacy is the same you can have at an hotel, therefore don’t count on a totally invisible presence of the owners: kind and polite over the average, anyhow. They don’t live there around but they take care of the property and guests almost every day. The house is 10 minutes from Mitilini’s downtown and it’s easy to find everything necessary. People in Lesvos is surprisingly kind and nice, don’t trust any alarming information about the island situation in order to the presence of refugees or problems linked to that issue. The island shows somewhere evidences of what happened last year but this doesn’t create any kind of problem out of welcomed emotion and empathy with desperate people and Lesvos inhabitants. Don’t miss to visit the pietrified forest, unique in the world, and Molivos…a dream. Forget the Ionian islands cuisine, if you know it…in Lesvos at any place you order a meal and surely you eat too much. First class food (salted sardines are an unexpected experience), perfect service, ultracheap prices.

Summary: We spend 8 fantastic days in this wonderful house and had our coffee beside the water every morning. I can't possibly say enough great things about the house and the spectacular location. We stepped out of the house and were beside the water in 10 seconds. Easy access to and from the port and great location to start your adventures around this beautiful green island. We rented a car and did day trips to about 90% of the island. We swam and snorkeled in many beautiful locations and ate fantastic food every single day. The host (Alex) did everything possible to make our stay the best possible...even leaving basic food and other goodies to get us started. He was very informative about the whole island and even good the time to mark a map of great locations to visit. Thank you Alex for being such a great host. Your home was perfect in every way!!!!

Summary: Beautiful and peaceful location in front of the water among ancient olive trees. The stone houses are cute and pleasantly decorated with a few nice exotic pieces of furniture. Very clean!!! Nice white sheets and towels! The internet access was the only thing that was not very reliable. It is located one hour drive from the cute town Molivos, and only a few minutes from Mityline. I was there with my two teen age sons (they are used to peaceful places) and a friend. But I think it would be a great place for a romantic couple. I see myself going back with my husband. A great place to retreat and write a book! Gorgeous sunsets!!
