The barn itself is stunning—spacious, stylish, and full of charm. We loved how the historic character was preserved while still offering all the modern comforts. The open-plan living space was perfect for our group, whether we were cooking together, lounging by the fire, or just enjoying a slow morning with coffee and gorgeous countryside views. One of the highlights was definitely the hot tub—soaking under the stars was absolute bliss! The location was also ideal, with Canterbury and Whitstable just a short drive away, making it easy to explore, grab great food, and enjoy the best of both town and country. Ruth and Francesco were truly fantastic hosts—thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely lovely people. Positive: Beautiful property, main living area is very impressive. Our group enjoyed the well equipped kitchen and the pool table. A little cold for us to try the hot tub in February!

Negative: Pack warm clothes as was a little cold overnight in winter.

Positive: We had such a lovely time at Heel Barn. It’s a fantastic space inside and out - the large garden is great with amazing views all the way to the sea, and the interior is really nicely done, with so much open plan space for cooking, eating (huge dining table) and relaxing. Having facilities like the hot tub and pool table was an added bonus and there’s plenty of seating outside too. Thanks Ruth!
