Cowslip Barn, an 18th century barn converted into a stunning holiday home in the South Hams, ideally located to explore the area. Bright and airy, with all modern conveniences to ensure your trip to South Devon will be one to remember. Two King sized bedded rooms (one ensuite) and one twin room all with Egyptian cotton bedding. Brand new modern family bathroom and underfloor heating throughout and a large woodburner. For rainy days we have fabulous fast internet connection, an extensive video library, Sonos music system and many toys, games, books and puzzles. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate provided. Dogs welcome - Up to 2 well-behaved dogs. Welcome Pack upon arrival.

Summary: We loved it here. Great place, really nice, well equipped, lots of space. Owners extremely helpful. Amazing area...beaches, river, moors, walks. Many things are within 20-30 min drive...Totnes, Dartmouth, moors. And beaches. Very friendly area. This is a remarkable part of Devon and the UK. Would definitely stay again.

Summary: We had a really nice stay at Cowslip Barn, very welcome cream tea, wine and milk on our arrival along with kitchen basics. The journey into the village was a little hairy to say the least, the wet weather didn’t help, very narrow lanes with minimal passing points but we found heading out of the village towards Dartmouth was slightly better and not so far on narrow lanes so we used this route each day. The Village itself was very peaceful and we ate at the Hunters Lodge each evening as this was the closest for our 3yr old Grandson to walk to especially with the threat of rain, it took about 4mins, the welcome was very friendly and the food faultless. The Barn had everything we needed, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, plenty of seats and all kitchen necessities, we did take some food and drink with us as there is no shop to pop to. There were lots of books and games provided which we enjoyed after our meal out. I’m sorry to say I wouldn’t use the word spotless like other reviewers but it was clean. Although we had Wi-Fi in the barn we had no mobile signal at all so it felt a little claustrophobic at times. Having said that, overall, we had a really nice stay and communication with the owner was very good.

Summary: A lovely week in this quiet part of Devon, well off the beaten track. A very comfortable and well equipped property. So many lovely walks from the door, and plenty of great pubs. All in all a most pleasant stay.

Summary: We had a wonderful visit to the Cowslip Barn, which is in a wonderful village in picturesque Devon. We were given fantastic advice by our hosts about the local area and things to do. We really felt we had everything we needed and there was no need to contact the hosts as everything had been carefully planned and considered for us to have a great stay. The barn was very well equipped and spacious. Some of the TV’s felt in need of an update and we found the internet connection intermittent, but this was to be expected in a rural location. Overall we loved the barn and felt very welcome by our hosts and friendly locals in the village!
