Positive: location was good, set up at the property was great, good walks locally, 2 pubs for food with friendly service.

Negative: 2 main points: 1) the twin and single bedrooms have had privacy glass put in the windows but the security lights from the pub next door kept coming on throughout the night, with very thin curtains it made it very hard to sleep in these 2 rooms. ended up having to put blankets over windows but not grate even then. i would suggest proper black out blinds with edging being fitted as a minimum, comfort and Value for money scores were close to dropping lower because of this but kept to good as the rest was so good. 2) access to a dustpan and brush to sweep up if anything dropped, as could not find one.

Positive: Nice quiet location overlooking the Dart with pleasant views to the front of the property. Next door to a traditional pub, the Maltsters arms

Negative: The property is poorly furnished, tired decoration, cracks in the walls, peeling paint, worn out carpet. Kitchen doors held together by sellotape (literally). The view from the 2nd and third bedroom is to large bins from the pub. The shower is very poor.

Summary: Disappointing, nice location, but needs a lot of tlc

Positive: Mallard cottage is a very comfortable apartment, right on the banks of an arm of the Dart river. Very complete, everything was there for an enjoyable stay. Also conveniently close to the Malsters Arms (right next door) for a pint and something to eat. The surroundings are beautiful, lots of opportunities to walk, and visit places on the coast, Dartmouth, Greenway, as well as the Dartmoor. Allows you to bring a pet.

Negative: No comments, everything was great!

Summary: Excellent stay in a cottage at a great location.
