Stunning 4 bedroom house (sleeps up to 12) with large outdoor pool, situated within the urbanization of Audiencia, next to Praia Verde, in the unspoilt East Algarve, 15km from Tavira and 8km from Vila Real de Santo Antonio. Set among pine trees and close to all amenities the house is five minutes walk (250 metres)from the superb sandy beach and two restaurants and a cafe/bar. Casa Azevado is within a few minutes drive of five superb golf courses, including the new Jack Nicklaus, Monte Rei course, and backs onto a national reserve of pine trees. Casa Azevado, laid out over three floors with terraces. The house back onto the beautiful national park and towards the sea, and is luxuriously furnished throughout its four bedrooms, large living room and dining area, together with a large kitchen. The linked house is air conditioned and is luxuriously furnished to a very high standard.
The beautiful Ria Formosa!: The Ria Formosa in the Algarve is a beautiful labyrinth of lagoons separated from the sea by a coastal dune system which is broken up by various natural inlets. It is one of the most important nature reserves in the network of wetlands that links Europe and sub-Saharan Africa. The Ria has an enormous variety of natural habitats that provide refuge, feeding and breeding areas for an infinite number of flora and fauna and is a haven for birds.

Summary: We come to Portugal every year, staying in new places all the time, 12 people or more. This property was very close to an incredible beach, when i say close i mean less than 5 min walk with young ones at heel. They came and changed the sheets and kept things clean, the icky thing i missed that we usually see is someone cleaning the pool, but the tools where handily they're and the kids loved to do it. We will most likely come back! Definitely recommended

Summary: We stayed here with our extended Portuguese family for a long overdue reunion and ot was all great. A few little issues to start with, very promptly tended to and understandeable for the start of season. A great house, with all the necessary facilities. Well equipped, well located. Only a short walk to the beach and a quick 7 to 10 minute drive to any supermarket you choose. Very short drive to the Monte Gordo village with good restaurants and great walking paths along the beach. Overall an amazing stay in a very good house. Thank you so much. We had many tears from young to old when leaving....

Summary: Check in was easy and house was in order. After that things went downhill. House didn't have any of the normal extras like salt and pepper, dish soap, hand soap etc. I've come to expect with VRBO listings. (We were left 2 dishwasher pods and 2 laundry pods-not adequate for 4 people doing their cooking at home for 5 nights). 2 of the wine glasses in the cupboard were cracked and a 3rd broke in my hand while towel drying it. Owner states he lives nearby but was not responsive for nearly 24 hours when the sink backed up, the dishwasher leaked all over the floor and the hot water went out. Fortunately my friend was able to figure out the hot water problem so we didn't have to take any more cold showers. His agent (who was a gem when she finally came) is only available during office hours, so if you have a problem in the evening or weekend (which we did) you're out of luck. There was no hand soap or garbage receptacles in either bathroom and no place to hang a hand towel in the upstairs bathroom for washing hands. Lastly, the house sprung a leak in the bathroom upstairs and we had to line the area behind the toilet with towels for 2 days. I've stayed in a lot of vacation rentals, and this was by far the most expensive I've ever rented. It's only the 2nd poor review I've ever left. I think the house was recently renovated and we were the unlucky problem finders and owner didn't seem very concerned.

Summary: House suited us to the ground. Pool well used by eldest daughter. Pool table great for the rainy day. Perfect position for the beach and a good walk to catch the boat to Spain for a day. Well equipped except for a bread knife. But who’s bothered by that? Recommend a stay.

Summary: Great location for beach access, outdoor space was amazing, close to cafe and mini market and in walking distance to train in MG. Lots of tv options! 8 adults made it a little crowded esp on rainy days when we were inside! The beds and pillows were not to our liking- too soft ! Overall, we enjoyed our time there!

Summary: The area was great with the beach only a short walk. The neighbourhood was quiet and it suited our needs perfectly. The town of Monte Gordo was a short walk along the beach and minutes driving. We did feel that that house needed a little updating but it didn't hinder our stay. We would very much love to return.

Summary: the property is well proportioned all our visitors over the month we had it were happy with their rooms , located handily for the beach we were fortunate to have good weather throughout our stay feb/mar with a cafe/ bakery close enough to pop out to and a good fish restaurant on the beach , we had a couple of minor problems with electrics and took us a while to figure the gas had run out when hot water stopped basic instructions would have helped overall our stay was exactly what we hoped and would happily stay here again

Summary: Well located.Near restaurants beaches shops but in a quiet location. In a less touristy side of the Algarve but not isolated from any amenities. Pool warm enough to swim even early April. Kitchen well supplied with utensils and white goods. Plenty of room in the bedrooms. Games room with pool table and table football a real bonus for young ones especially on rainy days. Great barbeque area outside. Would highly recommend for a self catering family to the Algarve.

Summary: loved our holiday inthe villa was large and plenty of space for everyone to chill out the pool was great as weather was fantastic ,villa is a 15min walk to monte gordo through forest and 5mins from a gorgeous beach .Andrew and Elise were a lovely couple and always available to answer any questions and sort out any problems ,had a great stay x

Summary: This is the first time we stayed in a villa on a foreign holiday so we were excited and apprehensive at the same time. There were 13 in our group 6 adults, 3 teenagers, and 4 young children staying less than 2 full weeks. But, to our relief, the owners were accommodating with our numbers and our dates. From the moment we arrived (12 midnight) until we left, we found it spacious, well-equipped, and clean. During our stay a cleaner came by to change the bed linens and a pool guy stopped and did "his thing". A sign that the house is well-maintained! We, all found the villa, the neighbourhood and nearby Monte Gordo Town perfect for our summer getaway. The pool provided private fun and relaxation. The built-in patio barbeque (which got a hefty workout during our stay) made it too easy to spend whole days at the villa instead of the beach. On days we did make the short 200 metre walk to a beautiful, spacious and clean beach and we loved it!. We read the past reviews and visited the local bakery for fantastic breads/cakes. The kids liked the ice cream selection too! Another review recommended the bike rentals from the Town. They were a fantastic way for the everyone to go exploring and get some exercise. The bird sanctuary was a nice relaxing (15 minute) walk to the town. The folder of information in the villa, which we found very helpful, had recommendations and numbers for dental/medical emergencies, restaurants, super markets and most importantly, taxis. We got lucky enough to meet up with Jose Carlos a local taxi man with his own business (3 cars and drivers). He ended up as our tour guide/personal driver! Accommodating any number up to 13 of us. He was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Highly recommend him-I left his business card in the folder. He recommended a wonderful restaurant in Villa Real. It was overlooking the river. Fantastic evening. Another day we took the ferry (€5/person) to Spain. I recommend this too. Finally, Else and Andrew were the perfect hosts-They were there when you needed them, but not "hovering" if you wanted your privacy. They were helpful and accommodating and were only a short distance away if you needed anything. Sometimes owners/managers aren't available if you need to speak to them. Overall summary: Great villa + friendly people + perfect location = Fantastic Holiday. Only sad part of our stay, the day we left! Highly recommend Else and Andrew and this property to anyone. We are definitely planning on returning!
