Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location is not right in the center of things, but it is only about a 2 mile walk into the main part of town, or the metro and bus are very easy to navigate. The neighborhood has everything you need, grocery stores, food and drink and proximity to the Saone river for walking, running or cycling can't be beat. The place was quiet, and I found a great boulangerie within only a one minute walk. There were plenty of kitchen amenities like dishes, pots and pans, and even scissors and a wine opener. The owner was very nice, responded quickly and even checked in during the middle of my stay to make sure things were going well. The bed was firm, just like I like it and I slept very well in this apartment!

Negative: If you are hoping to mostly walk, it may be a little far from the main attractions, but the metro and bus are very easy to take. It was very cold when I was there and the heater really did not put out enough heat at times, and I could have used a throw blanket or something to keep warmer when inside. I stayed for a month and I would also have liked to have a few things like paper towels, extra kitchen towels, more dish soap and dishwasher tablets, but in the grand scheme of things, this was not really that bad. The bathroom is pretty tiny, which is not an issue for me, but if you have wide shoulders you may barely fit at the sink. Also the bedroom is basically the size of the bed, so if you are two people, you will have to crawl over the bed to get in place. For just one person, this is not an issue.
