Located along the Saône at the foot of the plateau Duchère, Vaise is linked to the 9th arrondissement. Formerly part of the 5th Arr the area is now primarily a residential area popular for low rent prices and offers residents gorgeous views of the Saône river and the back of Fourvière.
With Place Valmy as the intersection of two major national roads for years, the 9th has a reputation for easy access to and from the city, while providing an escape for families and people looking to get away from the hustle.
There is a fair amount of green spaces, with the Parc du Vallon in La Duchère near the border of Écully, and Ile Barbe to the North. Ile Barbe and its ancient buildings are perfect for an afternoon outside the city, exploring the Roman church or the island’s small park.
The main commercial areas are the Grande Rue de Vaise, Place Valmy, and Place de Paris. There’s a large food market at Place de Paris on Sunday and Wednesday mornings, and one at Valmy on Tuesdays.
Served by the metro D line and home to two local train stations, Lyon 9 is easily accessible and within a short distance of the city center, by metro, bus, bike, or on foot, along the picturesque Saône riverside.

Summary: Le logement est correct et propre. Il est très bien situé et calme dans le quartier de Valmy. Petits bémols : renseignements pour accéder au logement donnés par message après appel téléphonique sur place car les renseignements donnés avant notre arrivée étaient erronés et imprécis. Le canapé lit "BZ" n'est pas en très bon état et la porte de la chambre grince (une goutte d'huile serait suffisante). La petite table pour le repas serait bien utile si le micro- ondes ne prenait pas toute la place.

Summary: Pour une première location sur ce système, j'appréhendais un peu. Je n'ai pas été déçu. Très cosy, très mignon, le centre ville facile d'accès par transport en commun. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. Points négatifs : pas de place de parking attitrée, et la vaisselle à minima.
