Positive: The parking off the street in front of the door. The quiet neighborhood. Good location for visiting vineyards.

Negative: The fold out sofa bed was very uncomfortable with holes on all sides and hard metal frames. We hardly got any sleep at all. The toilet is very low and no handgrip to get up.

Summary: The sofa bed made our stay very uncomfortable.

Positive: It's a small and kind of cosy apartment which is good if you don't want to stay in Bordeaux

Negative: The bed (or better the sofa) was not really comfortable and made a lot of noise. I think it would be better to just put a real bed instead of this sleeping couch. For 3 nights and therefore 3 mornings we were provided with 2 nespresso-capsules and 2 small rolls of toilet paper... Of course we can afford to buy more, but it would have been nice to have the "essentials" there 😁 In general it was not very clean. The village was kind of dead except for this one guy singing and dancing to spanish party songs for 2 nights in a row at the opposite nursing home.

Positive: The location was great. The facilities were reasonably good and clean and tidy.

Negative: On arrival I couldn't gain access. I spent almost an hour fiddling with the combination lock trying to get it opened. When i eventually got hold of the owner she told me she had sent me the wrong access code! There was not mechanical extract in the WC which was not good at all. The shower room did have mechanical extract though. But the shower screen and shower tray did not prevent waste water overflowing onto the floor. But the biggest issue I had was with the television. I spent all of the daytime out travelling around the vineyards and Chateaux and in the evening I was looking forward to watching the Euro football games. However the television would not tune into a single channel and the owner didn't seem to be that bothered about it.

Summary: A great sojourn in Margaux marred by a couple of rectifiable issues.

Positive: This is a small place in a very central location in the Margaux region. It's close to many attractions, and within a walking distance to one of the best restaurants in the region. It's definitely worthy for a short stay.

Negative: My main complain with the place is the type of bed, which is a sofa bed. You need to lay down in a specific position in order to avoid the underneath folding structure of the sofa-bed. And the bathroom doesn't have enough ventilation. You get that smell from humid places due to the water of the showers being confined there.
