Little outdoor terrasse( with bbq) is available for your meals . Le Moulin is well equipped with a little kitchen downstairs and a nice bathroom on the first floor.

Summary: A lovely welcome from our host who was kind enough to pick us up and drop us off at the nearby train station. The 360 degree views of the Margaux countryside from the bedroom at the top of the windmill make climbing the steep stairs more than worthwhile. The sunsets were stunning! Quirky accommodation for 2 adults with many interesting features, and access to a lovely pool and garden. Excellent base for exploring the region. A car would make it easy to get around but you can easily manage by bike or on foot, especially if you make use of the regional bus which stops 5 mins walk away from le moulin and calls at lots of local villages. There is an abundance of chateaus (book ahead for tours / tasting). The ferry from Lamarque to Blaye is a great day out. There are not many restaurants so be sure to book as recommended by our host if you want to eat out.

Summary: Great place to stay! Facilities were a bit limited for a full week’s stay, with 2 dogs, I think more ideally suited to a few days without dogs. It is a wonderful setting in amongst the Châteaus and vineyards, great for day trips out to the lakes, beaches and the city of Bordeaux. Thanks
