Positive: The location is incredible because it’s right in Les Baux, which comes with the added benefits of being able to easily access in the early morning and evenings, plus special parking vs the lines of cars the snake their way down the hill Good AC, which is unusual for France, and comfortable bedrooms Extremely well equipped house overall

Positive: At the top of a medieval village, access is tricky. You can use your car before 0700 after 1900. Even with clear instructions, the property was well hidden from a passing gaze. It is very cool with good facilities. There are no shops in the village, so bring with you what you will require. There are a number of restaurants at Les Baux. We had booked for our anniversary at L’ousteau de baumaniere, 3 star Michelin which was a 10 minute walk! After a heavy rain overnight, the building leaked and we woke with water in the apartment. We immediately contacted the owner, who had cleaners there by 0800! We had to leave and find alternative accommodation nearby. Valerie was very helpful and reimbursed us for those nights. I can recommend the Black Prince

Negative: Need to be reasonably dexterous. Climbing up old stone stairs, so need to be mobile

Positive: It was beautifully furnished with personal family mementos, and with the flair to be expected of an interior designer, with its African and tree theme. The kitchen was particularly intriguingly decorated, with antiques and oil paintings. The owner’s personality certainly shone through. Not the usual bland offerings. It was one of the best-equipped properties we have ever stayed in and very comfortable. Of course, the location was spectacular with views of the Chateau. The owner was very responsive, friendly and helpful.

Negative: We cannot fault it.

Summary: Pleasurable stay in a beautiful property, perfect location.

Positive: The thrill of staying in a centuries old cliff house with the absolutely finest furnishings.

Negative: The imminent danger of falls from the many difficult to see steps of odd proportions inside the apartment. Also no number or name at the entry place on the street, and difficult to use combination entry lock on front door.
