Lakefront studio guest cottage on Lake St. George. One of the last pristine lakes in Maine. Enjoy some amazing fishing (salmon, big/small mouth bass and brook trout), kayaking and swimming. Leaf peepers don't miss the amazing, vibrant colors on the lake. The cottage is heated year round.
Liberty Lake Cottage provides everything for lakeside fun. On the 1,000 acre Lake St. George you can listen to the Loons calling, watch the sun set while enjoying a campfire roasting marshmallows in the warm evening breeze. Explore camp roads for strolling and nearby community fare. Local restaurants, brew pubs and homemade ice cream are just minutes away. And don't forget to pop into the world renowned "Liberty Tool" which has something for everyone! If this isn't enough to peak your interest, a short 20 to 40 minute trip will take you to the Midcoast Region to a number of coastal towns such as Belfast, Lincolnville, Camden, Rockport and Rockland for some fabulous shopping and sightseeing. Camden is known for Windjammer days (tall masted ships), Mount Batti State Park and seaside shopping. Rockland has the Lobster Festival and Jazz Festival and wonderful shopping. Don't forget to walk the jetty. Unity is just a short trip to the M.O.F.G.A. Common Ground Fair in Sept. It's a quick 1.5 hour trip to Bar Harbor to climb Mt. Cadillac or visit the home of the Rockefeller's.
The cottage is located in a small secluded area of the lake where you enjoy your own private dock for kayaking and swimming or just soaking up the sun. There is a picnic table, fire pit and gas grill for cooking (there is NO STOVE in the cottage). There is an Apt. size refrigerator/freezer, toaster oven, toaster, microwave and blender. Fully stocked kitchen includes, flatware, dishes, glasses and cooking utensils. There is a living room area, a double bed area, a dining area all encompassed in one large room and a 3/4 bath which includes a walk in shower.

Summary: This was a great space and in a great location. The cabin and shed had everything you need to enjoy your stay. The cabin was very clean and very well organized. It was steps from the lake, which was gorgeous. The welcome basket and list of local must-sees was an added bonus.

Summary: This was our 2nd consecutive summer vacation at Liberty Cabin and we were just as pleased as last year. The peacefulness is what we enjoy the most. Complimented with kayaking, fishing with relaxing on the lakeside deck to beautiful sunsets and the wonderful chorus of loons! The new outside covered porch is a nice addition. We look forward to visiting again, only longer next time.

Summary: This is our second Summer staying at this incredible camp. The amenities are incredible and the hosts are fabulous! We watched multiple sunsets and spent everyday on the lake. The camp atmosphere and attention detail by the hosts make it impossible not to relax. We will be back in the Summer of 2023.

Summary: Provided a great deal of tranquility. Peaceful. Extremely efficient and adequate living. No significant drawbacks except not having water views from the cabin, however the short comfortable walk and the sitting platform overcome. The platform was really relaxing and accommodating while allowing quiet and serene lake views. The available kayaks were useful and much appreciated. Fishing and birdwatching very productive. Nice variety of books and reading material. We would and hope to return.

Summary: It was the cutest most perfect cabin to stay in!! With a nice little walk to the lake, with Kayaks and having the chairs to sit in right by the lake watching the sun set....it was a perfect week. We came for a week for our 25th anniversary and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you so very much for everything.

Summary: My partner and I spent a relaxing week at the cottage. The cottage is surrounded by trees with a short trail to the lake. We spent our mornings kayaking or reading on the deck and spent our afternoons swimming. The cottage is a 20-35 min drive to all the amazing restaurants of Belfast and Camden. Its a great location to explore the Midcoast while also relaxing in nature. I highly recommend this cottage! We hope to be back soon :) Tip for future summer travelers: Be prepared for the no-see-ums! We stayed in mid-July and came away with quite a few no-see-um bites. Close the windows at night bc they can get through the screens (cottage has A/C so its no problem).
