Set on the shoreline of beautiful Lake St. George, this chalet rests in a quiet, private setting that simply brings happiness and a sense of calm. Enjoy one of Maine's clearest lakes from the comfort of this amazing home! Or, walk across the grassy lawn to the lake to start your day w/coffee on the dock while watching the sunrise. Take a nap on the lakeside hammock or go for a swim. Take the provided canoe for a tour of the lake, a fishing outing or a sunset cruise. Keep your eyes peeled for bald eagles and loons! At night enjoy the portable fire pit while gazing at stars or roasting marshmallows. This year-around home is also suitable during the winter months for those looking to do some ice fishing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing or to simply snuggle up inside to do a puzzle or play games. The main level of the house is an open concept with a massive stone chimney that soars to the top of the living room’s vaulted ceiling. The “wall of glass” that faces the lake allows for amazing light while the two ceiling fans keep the air moving. This level has the fully equipped kitchen, living room with large smart TV, dining area, craft/game table area, the bedroom with queen bed, one full bathroom and laundry machines. The wrap-around deck has chairs, table and a gas grill. The upper level is a loft that has the master bedroom with king bed, smart TV, window A/C unit and the other full bathroom. The lower level has the room with bunk beds, love seat and four tall windows that provide for a great view of the lake. The home is modernized with free WiFi, two new 4K smart TV’s and roku devices to enable you to login to your streaming subscriptions. If you desire to explore more of Maine, we are a relatively short drive to some GREAT coastal towns: 16 miles to Belfast, 20 miles to Camden, 20 miles to Lincolnville and 21 miles to Rockport. PLEASE NOTE: there are roughly 20 gradual steps to get from the parking area down to the house. From the house to the lake there are just a few steps down the deck stairs and then a very gradual walk across the lawn to the lake. Summary: The house was beautiful and just as described. The owner was very responsive and great with questions. There were a few miscellaneous things that need updated. The bedroom off the kitchen was stuffy and needs an air-conditioning unit since there isn’t proper air flow. The appliances in the kitchen need updated! Sometimes it’s better to put the money into new appliances before they breakdown and cause property damage. The water heater needs an upgrade too because four of us stayed and couldn’t shower at the same time (in separate showers) without running out of hot water, so we had to stagger our showers apart which although isn’t bad-just annoying especially since it’s able to sleep more than 4 people. The view was spectacular, but unfortunately it was extremely foggy and rainy every day so we couldn’t utilize the lake and everything that goes with it, but obviously this wasn’t the owners fault-only Mother Nature. It would have also been nice to have had some welcome brochures of the local area or a binder giving some helpful information to tourists such as where was the best place to eat, hike, shop or sight see in the area. I know that Google is a thing, but sometimes locals have the best advice!!

Summary: This property was as good or better than I expected. I stayed with my adult children for a week and we had such a wonderful time. Plenty of room to hang out regardelss of the weather - rain or shine. We loved it!

Summary: Beautiful location. The stairs from the parking to the house may be troublesome for some if you have any limitations. The house was plenty big enough to spread out. We came with plans of ice fishing but did not have much luck. Beautiful location for a family get away, thank you for sharing your home.

Summary: 2 of my college friends and all 3 of our husbands got together for a little reunion. This place was perfect. 3 sleeping spaces each on a different floor. The 2 baths worked well. Everyone was comfortable.

Summary: Three of us had a great time in early November, the weather was unseasonably warm. The house is in a very good location right on the lake and very clean inside. The house is pretty well equipt for cooking as well. Definitely hope to be back next year and i'm sure it would be real nice in the summer when swimming in ther lake would be an option.

Summary: This was a wonderful trip, my husband is from Maine and we have traveled back and forth for years. My brother and sister in Law have always wanted to come so it finally came to past, was a most wonderful time. Lake St George was perfect. We toured all day and came back to camp at night. Loved it so much now we want to return in summer and do just lake life. This camp is as nice as they can get. Perfect for anyone. The view is spectacular If you are looking this is the place for you.
