Positive: Very nice lady that works there, owners were away on holidays. Grateful could stay with my dog 🐾 Only place in Lismore i found one could do that, and yes, it's outta town --- and That's Why i liked it even more!! Wonderfully working air conditioning, which is absolutely needed in Lismore, in summer!! Met other travellers with their dogs. We were all very happy being able to stay at Lakeside and be treated humanely - some motels allow pets, then treat you like .... (Just want cha $ - Not Lakeside :) Great bbq area outside, undercover, didn't use, but handy. And everything was so clean, fresh and new. Enjoy!

Negative: Nothing to do With the motel. Something one must face in society - rude fellow travellers. Rude people in general. Usually with their own deep wounds, so lash out on others. Experienced this my last morning there. Witnessed too how they Absolutely disregarded all the facilities provided for us - bbq area, there's ashtrays, bins. These people left their cig butts, rubbish everywhere. So - nothing to do with the motel. Just my fellow "human"!

Positive: The room was large, well laid out, and exceptionally clean. The bed was fantastic and very comfortable. I also appreciated receiving the check-in information via text, which was great.

Negative: The bathroom is outdated but very clean.

Negative: I stayed on two separate occasions. My first stay in Room 4 was excellent — the room was beautifully set out, very clean, and I was extremely happy with the experience. When I returned a few nights later and stayed in Room 12, unfortunately the room was not to the same standard. It wasn’t as clean and could benefit from a fresh coat of paint, as it looked quite worn and tired.

Positive: Room was clean and contained a supply of crockery, cutlery, microwave, kettle, toaster, tea and coffee and cold water. The person on reception was easy going and pleasant.

Negative: The rooms either side of me both had dogs and with the storm hanging around, both dogs were barking loudly every time the thunder sounded, quite late into the night. There must also be some potholes on the road passing the motel as every time a large truck passed (and they were frequent), the resulting crash sounded like a bomb going off outside. Needless to say, I didn't get a lot of sleep.
