Positive: This is by far one of the best homes I've ever rented. It's located on a hill in the forest with mountain views, and looking into the garden from the balcony at dawn, you'll think you've landed in Bambi: Squirrels jumping from branch to branch in the trees, rabbits on the lawn, and an occasional deer munching on roots or leaves at the edge of the clearing that makes up the garden. Inside, the house is spacious and beautifully decorated. The three beds (one being a huge double bunk bed) are large and cozy, and there's sufficient closet space. The kitchen contains all necessary appliances and open dining room and living room space have a panoramic view of the distant mountains. The biggest plus (particularly if you're bringing kids, teens, or young adults is the game room, which literally make up the entire bottom floor. There's every indoor game imaginable. Lastly (but certainly not least), the terrasse provides you with a hot tub, a sofa swing, and fireplace, again with the view of the mountains and surrounded by the forest. Shops are within a 10-15 minute drive and though you're in the midst of the woods, the neighboring houses provides a sense of close but discrete community. This is an absolute MUST visit!

Negative: I cannot think of anything. Not even the fact that there might be bears in the area could scare us away.

Positive: We really enjoyed the view. Nice and cozy. Game room was nice. Saw deer at night/

Negative: Game room is not finished (missed that in the description). Pool table was not level. Wife did not like driving up the mountain roads (too steep for her).

Positive: The view was astonishing. Many cups of coffee were had watching the sun rise over the valley. The hosts were amicable and helpful. The game room provided hours of entertainment.

Negative: Parking was a little tight, and the road up to the place itself was only one lane wide and very steep.

Summary: Overall, a spectacular experience that we would relive again in a heartbeat.

Positive: Property is located in a beautiful location. Awesome mountain views and not too far from local restaurants and attractions. Visited Helen multiple times while here. Very spacious and with everything needed.

Negative: Property basement was being renovated, entertaining and gaming equipment was old and outdated. Two of my guests did not enjoy the mattresses they slept in. I read in the website that I would be charged half of the total price when I booked the cabin and the other half 48 hours prior to arrival, instead I was charged the full amount from the day I booked

Summary: Overall the vacation was ok, but could have been better.

Positive: Great location and views. Family friendly with large game room in the basement. House is fully equipped with every detail thought about. Peaceful and quiet area. Day trips and hiking trails in close proximity. Tallulah Gorge is a must see! Make sure you have dinner at the Rabun Lake Hotel and Restaurant. Excellent Ingles supermarket 10 min drive. Hope to come back soon!
