This spacious 1250 sq ft home is meticulously crafted from Belizean hardwoods sourced from the Maya Mountains, which lie just 20 miles to the west of our property. Unique design features have been thoughtfully incorporated to optimize your indoor and outdoor living experience. The fully equipped kitchen is ready for those eager to whip up their own authentic Belizean dishes. For added comfort, all rooms are equipped with air conditioning, ensuring you stay cool even when the trade winds take a break. Step through the French doors, and you'll find the sea at your doorstep, providing a private and serene sanctuary for your soul. A stay with us transforms your Belize trip into an unforgettable and truly distinctive escape.
At La Vida Belize, we are committed to ensuring your experience meets your expectations. We offer complimentary use of a tandem kayak and bicycles. Just off the beach, you'll encounter expansive coral heads perfect for honing your snorkeling skills before embarking on your Cayes adventure. For fishing enthusiasts, snapper, snook, jacks, grunts, and Spanish mackerel are just steps away from our front door, while tarpon and other species await across the road in the lagoon. There is a 75-foot pier right off the beach for fishing, swimming, snorkeling, or just soaking up the Caribbean sun.
Our location is conveniently situated just a short 5-minute drive north of Maya Beach and a 25-minute drive north of Placencia Village. Many tour operators offer the convenience of pick-up and drop-off services right here at La Vida Belize. We highly recommend that our guests consider renting a car to explore the region or opt for a golf cart to leisurely explore the peninsula.
If you need extra space, the home can be booked alongside our Casita (sleeps up to 3) and/or Studio (sleeps 2), accommodating up to eleven guests for an even more memorable stay.
Rental includes the entire home's upper floor and access to the grounds, Casa's pool, beach, and pier.
We are located in a neighborhood of private residences.
A rental car is best for transportation. Golf carts are another option.
Please note: The beach consists of two lots and a pier. They are shared with our guests staying at the other rentals on the property. It is large enough for all to have their own private space.

Summary: absolutely a wonderful stay! beach pool pier and seclusion! a great space for a family of 4and if you need there is another casa on property so you can rent both spaces for a family retreat! simply a wonderful perfect place for our family of 4!!! couldn’t have asked for a more perfect space! 30 minutes from placencia but we didn’t want to be in the touristy spot! this was a perfect place for us!

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay at La Vida Belize! The property itself is amazing, with a beautiful and peaceful beach, lovely dock, pool area, etc — and the house is equipped with everything you need, very clean, comfortable and modern. The host and property manager were wonderful to work with and very responsive — wouldn’t hesitate to book here again!

Summary: The La Vida house is located on the north end of Placencia peninsula. The house was perfect for our family with three adult children. Also the house is well equipped and clean with everything you would need, including snorkel gear. Kind of off the beaten path, which is exactly what we were looking for in a rental location. We wanted to get away, but also have restaurants and things to do close by. Loved our entire stay and would definitely book this place again.

Summary: Lovely home with pool and beach in your backyard. Beach had palm trees for shade and was completely private shared only by the second rental property on this site. Private dock with chairs to watch sunrise and enjoy the ocean breeze. Property is on the main road leading to Placencia. It is about a 20 minute car drive from the town of Placencia and 10 minutes from Maya beach area.

Summary: My family stayed here in January and really enjoyed the property. There were 5 of us and we all fit very comfortably. Note that one of the rooms does have twin bunk beds so that may be better suited for a family traveling with kids (rather than all adults). The kitchen was well stocked with necessities and the shared beach acces was a great bonus! There were plenty of toys available, kayaks, paddle boards, cornhole, etc... plus the pier was a great spot for morning coffee. Easy drive to the southern end of Placencia. Recommend getting a car if you want to travel out further (which I would unless your vacation is truly to lounge and relax). Property manager and the house caretakers were great and really helpful with recommendations for things to do. There is another rental on the property so you may have neighbors to share the grill & beach with but there's plenty of space to accommodate two groups! I would recommend this vrbo.
