Summary: The accommodation itself was adequate - french rustic I suppose you may say. The problem was that it seemed as though it had been empty for a while, and bugs had taken residence - especially in the pillow in the double room. They had eaten part of the pillowcase, and pulled the hollow fibre stuffing out. This was a surprise to say the least when I turned back the duvet. I had to clear droppings and hollow fibre from the bed before we could sleep in it. I am a a fairly resiliant woman, as I have 4 horses and two dogs, and so am used to mice, bugs, muck and all things yucky. Another, more faire and delicate soul, like my sister who accompanied us, would be horrified; and indeed she was!

Summary: We had a lovely few sun blessed days at La Maison Verte. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean, the kitchen was well equipped and the TV and wifi worked well. The house is set well back from the road and has a gorgeous veranda with a swing seat and dining area. About half an hour's drive from Berck Plage and Montreuil Sur Mer All we could ask for for a peaceful few days away in Pas de Calais, we'll definitely be rebooking!

Summary: Very attractive traditional country house, in a quiet location, set back from the road. Facilities in good condition and nothing missing that could be needed for a quiet get away. Gareth the host extremely helpful pre arriving (booking vets appointment for dog, reccomending restaraunts) and when at the property with good knowledge of the local area - even sends a very helpful guide to the house and area.

Summary: This is a lovely quiet property in the Authie valley. Beautiful bedrooms especially the master bedroom . The tv and wifi both worked perfectly if you need that sort of thing and all the other equipment was clean and functioning . There is lots of natural light in the rooms which stayed cool when it was hot outside and there are great views of the stars on a clear night. Hesdin, Crecy and Montreuil are not far away and the coast is less than an hour. There is a local bar 100 metres away and the locals are quite happy to welcome you to what is a basic estaminet. The owner was very communicative and helpful and all in all we had a wonderful few days in a very rural setting.

Summary: Just returned from a 3 night stay in this amazing cottage in a lovely part of France. The help and guidance that is given to you by the amazing owners really does play a part in your holiday, used a lot of their tips which helped us find some great places in the area. The cottage itself is lovely, really clean and well stocked with toys and books, plenty of room for a family of five and the outside terrace is perfect on an evening whatever the weather. Will 100% be returning very soon with more friends and family.

Summary: We stayed there with our whole family, as we booked both cottages so the family and children were able to go between the two and because it was very secure, they were able to roam freely and have fun! The cottage was clean and bright and the upstairs bedrooms were very large and spacious. We didnt have very good weather for August, so a car is definately needed to get out and about. We had a powercut on one of the days that we also had a storm so it was quite exciting for the children to be sitting in candlelight listening to the rain/thunder! T The front porch was a god send and we sat the whole family round the table for dinner and the children had the smaller table, Ideal! We played games there, great conversations and drank the very cheap wine from the supermarket - heaven! The beaches of Le Touquet & Le Bereck were fantastic and so clean, with lots for the children to do. We did attempt Paris for the day - but it was a very long day, in total a 4 hour train journey and 60 min car ride, so we didnt really get to see too much but if you did want to go then maybe stay overnight to get the best out of the Paris sites. The correspondence that we had with the owners was first class and they have been extremley helpful all round. It certainly isnt the place for a fun filled non stop holiday, but a more relaxing, calm and restful one!! Only one little moan, the freestanding shower didnt drain very well and you tended to paddle whilst showering! But on the whole a little gem!

Summary: my family of four had a fantastic time at the cottage. amble of secured outside space for the kids to play. the area is very quiet and relaxing; good for walking. attractions like beaches, water park and villages are within easy reach. we even managed a day trip to EuroDisney. The property is very clean and tidy. the attic bedroom is spacious. the outside porch was perfect for evenning meals or relaxing with a glass of wine. definitely return in the future.

Summary: Lovely comfortable house in a beautiful peaceful setting, a good base to explore the surrounding countryside. The owners supplied a lot of information about things to see and do along with good directions to all local places of interest. My husband and I enjoyed the slow pace of life but our children (age 14,12 and 8) did find it a bit quiet and we did have to do a lot of driving to get anywhere. We also found it difficult to find somewhere nice to eat as many restaurants were closed during the week even in the towns. It wasn't too much of a problem as it was lovely to eat at home in the picturesque surroundings. All and all it was a good holiday but maybe not the first choice for teenagers.

Summary: We had a lovely break in the Maison Verte at October half term with our boys 13 and 11. Thanks to the fantastic information provided by the owners about the area we were really able to make the most of the short holiday. The cottage was just spot on, comfortable, light and bright, with views of the garden, warm (it was chilly outside) and all we needed. the boys appreciated the books, board games and the TV! The trip to the underground town and Amiens was interesting (had lunch in the university canteen, very reasonable). The boys would go back just for Aqualud at Le Touquet, the indoor water park.
