Positive: Wonderful property with nice patio/garden and close to the beach.

Negative: It’s on a busy road but you don’t get much noise inside the property. Just watch out when entering/exiting the driveway.

Summary: Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely come again.

Positive: The house has four bedrooms and two blivbeding rooms as well as threrestroomsss which is suitable for a big family. The price isreasonable considering the location. It is renovated not long and everything is new. The instructions are clear and woceav evev see the ocean from the living room!

Negative: The floor heating is quite noisy and we do not find out how to shut it down at night.

Positive: The usable space was incredible: 5 bedrooms, 2 common rooms, and a fully-equipped kitchen...there were even small surfboards provided and a number of other nice facilities. The distance to the beach was very small (10 minutes walk).

Positive: La Jolla Retreat was a wonderful experience and the perfect base of operations for our recent surf trip. I really want to emphasize the location, which is great. Even with the map on the listing, I was hesitant it might feel "too far" from the beach for the group, but I shouldn't have worried. The walk route is less than 10 minutes and conveniently takes you right past anything you might need—surf / beach rentals, coffee shops, corner store for snacks, etc. Everyone agreed it was easy. The home is immaculately clean, peaceful, and well-equipped. In particular, the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, and they have clearly paid attention to the small details: sharp knives, a well-functioning gas grill, an induction range, a disposer, plenty of storage, glassware, etc. It was nice being able to efficiently cook healthy meals for the group, and we really enjoyed eating them in the courtyard. Another great detail is that the view from the living room and dining room into the back garden features beautiful trees, flowers, and hummingbirds. It was just a nice feature in the background as we were enjoying our coffee in the morning. Overall, the host, Pegah, was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making sure that every aspect of our stay was perfect and relaxing. The La Jolla Retreat is the perfect choice and a great value. Highly recommend and looking forward to staying there again.
