Positive: The room seemed nearly brand new. (I'm assuming it was a remodel, as the place didn't fully match the pictures of the original booking.) But it was a good accomodation. Comfortable bed with a nice bathroom and seperate storage room with a mini-fridge. The breakfast was considerably big and had 2 local cheeses, which was a nice touch. The room itself was a cool temperature, even when the outside temperature was around 31-35C. The neighbors were fairly quiet, or as quiet as cows can be. ;p

Negative: Even though the pool is not directly mentioned in the accomodation description, it is a pity that the pool that is easily visible for the guests could not be used. I understand that, unfortunately, the actions of previous guests have led to current restrictions on using the pool (and it seemed also the large yard). However, it did feel a bit disheartening to see the owners enjoying the pool in full view while guests are confined to a small gravel area. A visual barrier or some sort of screening could go a long way in creating a more comfortable and considerate atmosphere for guests.

Positive: The host - Sandrine - welcomed us with a list of recommended restaurants - hours before we arrived - and then helped making a reservation to a wonderful restaurant nearby the location (all of this without us talking a word in French...). She was amazing and turned the whole experience to an even better one! She even welcomed us with wine and treats for a birthday toast. Breakfast was very rich, fresh and exceeded our expectations. It was served in their amazing kitchen which was inspirational, friendly, and so welcoming. We simply loved it!

Summary: Great experience, amazing hosting and room - we loved the place.
