Positive: beautiful place to stay right in the old town. the room was clean and comfortable. lovely scent of flowering jasmine outside the door. very tranquil area a short walk to castle and the most amazing views. our host was very friendly and helpful and provided a safe place for us to store our bicycles. breakfast was a highlight - with locally produced honey, fresh marmalade and hazelnut butter as well as freshly cooked scrambled eggs was a real treat. really wished we had longer to explore this town, which had a lot to offer,

Negative: we were off season and the town was quiet so it took a while to find a restaurant that was open ( but we did and it was good) due to the lovely higgledy piggledy nature of the old town, the B&B is not easy to find! we had very specific directions but really aimed at car drivers so we ended up cycling around a bit. perhaps a what 3 words location point would help?

Positive: We had a short stay in the compact accommodation in this beautiful, very quite, village with great views from the medieval walls.

Negative: Wifi was hit and miss if you need to be in contact all the time.

Positive: The location is very good. The property is on the edge of town, but that is a big plus. This made getting to the property and parking easy, not always the case in small towns. It also provides good views of the countryside. Since the town is so small, everything is a 5-10 minute walk away. Rosaria was a very good host. She also owns a restaurant where we had a delicious lunch and dinner. The room was very nice - modern (even though the buildings are very old), good size, clean and comfortable. The price made this a great value and very good place to stay in Montalbano.

Negative: Not a big deal, but something to be aware of is the walk from the parking spot to the room. It is a small distance over cobblestones with a slight hill. Dragging the luggage was a small challenge. (Rosario did help us when we arrived.) Also, a breakfast option would have been nice.
