Positive: The location is very near to all the collectivos : Montebello lakes, el Chieflon, and lago de Colon. It’s also 3-5 minutes walking distance from the main plaza and restaurants. It’s a self-contained home with everything you need including kitchen. Jorge the owner was very helpful. Hope you enjoy the home, Comitán, and the gorgeous surrounding areas.

Summary: Excellent base for us to explore the beautiful area of southern Chiapas.

Positive: A great host that was quick to answer any problems we had. One day the gas finished and she had it changed in an hour. The location was very good near the center of town and close to the bus station. It is very easy to arrive from other areas of Chiapas and to get a collectivo to the waterfalls. The apartment is safe and secure. The design was very nice, clean and modern inside. The shower was very good with hot water and good pressure.

Negative: The internet was OK enough to work but not for streaming calls. It was also a weak connection apart from the office which was good enough. There was not enough full size pans in the kitchen for cooking. There was also no blender even though it is shown in the photos. A few extra additions would make the kitchen a great asset. The apartment is on a main road and it can get loud during the evening due to passing traffic. We managed without ear plugs but it might be a problem if you are a light sleeper.

Summary: A great option for Comitan and good value for money!
